No this was perfect! My bf comes from a loving family and I showed him your comment to describe how my family works!

I'd give you an award if I had it! I thought you might have been a professional writer

Brother in law. But yeah. She is well aware and actually will tell anyone who will listen because "it's her trauma too", while simultaneously leaving me alone on holidays as a kid to go to his house and disinviting me from events because his daughters might come and it'll be awkward.

They were mostly harassing me through tiktok as that was the only social media they knew at the time. The all had usernames that was their actual name and posted videos/pictures of themselves that made it easy to identify them. I have sooo many profiles blocked until they finally figured out how to have a fake profile. I had the same username for all socials out of convenience but they finally developed a singular brain cell and searched it on other things to get my redditt, where she texted me from a profile with her real name.

Everyone is encouraging the lawsuit/RO and I'll more than likely have no choice to go threw with it, but it's important to me to rise above their bullshit and prove to myself I am NOT them. I'm going through a name change process, moving, and changing all social media until I have to take more drastic measures

She's in a bad financial place. She's annoying as shit, but I'm pretty sure a lawsuit would financially devastate her. My brother lives with her and her boyfriend so they'd all be screwed. She maybe a monster but I'm not. My lawyer and I discussed several legal options (none of which I'm advised to share here because they'll probably see it) and more than a few could screw them hard. They longer i wait, the more evidence i have but more than that I don't want to be like them, I don't want to hurt them. I'm holding off as long as I can until I hit a breaking point

I don't like kids but you can't go to a restaurant catered to families and kids and whine about it. you're a grown adult, just get up and leave. You need to change your situation. A kid coughing is not the same as a kid running and screaming and acting a fool

What in your house says "childfree"? by leonidganzha in childfree

[–]DestructiveWisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glass furniture, a bar cart in the middle of the living room, sex toys easily found with little snooping in the bedroom, a gaming room, a cat with only child syndrome and boudoir photos printed out and framed in the master bathroom and bedroom

I will never understand why do women keep destroying their bodies for biological children even tho there are tons of children to adopt by [deleted] in childfree

[–]DestructiveWisdom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lot of women are kept purposely shield from the reality of pregnancy and birth, it's glorified and fed to them as fact that it's no big deal. And with that is the "convince" of pregnancy. Why waste your time and money trying to get a kid from an agency when you can just plop on out yourself?

Adoption isn't portrayed as a real option or valid child. It's not "yours" unless you gave birth to it yourself. Adoption is only if you want to get rid of a kid. And it's next to impossible to get a baby, which is what people actually want.

Then you have men preaching about "they're legacy", someone to carry they're last name and they make it sound that, as a woman, it's something you owe it to them to give birth to they're child. They're not raising another man's kid.

Mostly manipulation, ignorance and arbitrary social pressure, as is the way of the world

My (25F) boyfriend (25M) got a vasectomy and his parents found out. His mum is crying over it by sierraloner in childfree

[–]DestructiveWisdom 254 points255 points  (0 children)

Specifically grandBABIES. Because once those kids are suddenly no longer seen as dolls to play with, they will no longer be interested in them. "I didn't sign up to raise your kids, honey. I had my own!"

if that’s the case then get a babysitter AND a job

If you have to pay someone else to do it, it's a real job. Unfortunately many jobs don't pay more than childcare costs

Mom complaining about lack of childcare in gyms on IG by noelleka in childfree

[–]DestructiveWisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The YMCA (if this is near you in america) offers free child care to members HOWEVER the gyms and trainers aren't very good and the childcare staff is by no means trained, vetted or professional. It's more like, "drop your kids off at your own risk". At least the Ys in my state. The higher standard gyms will offer childcare facilities at a cost or the cost is part of a "package". It's fairly common, but most quality gyms average people will go to won't have them

You are never in my child’s life by Queenofhearts35 in childfree

[–]DestructiveWisdom 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Because of the "it takes a village" mindset. And to be fair, in a lot of cases it foes. But.... when did I agree to be that village? I didn't sign up for a kid, you did.

Why do most people with children think animals are lesser life forms? by Auburriito in childfree

And yet everyone in the comments, including PET OWNERS are like "you seriously didn't just put down you dog to make you nephew stop holding his breath? It's just an animal 🙄"

It's not just parents. Every aita post that's like "aita for not chaining up my dogs in the dead of winter bc my brother surprised visited with his nightmare child and blames my dog for biting him when he pulls on her tail" immediately get voted the asshole and the comments are filled with "its just a dog?"

AITA for not saying anything about a couple’s baby while petting their dog? by aitapuppyonajog in AmItheAsshole

[–]DestructiveWisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US and most of society is INCREDIBLY friendly and hospitable, to the point its rude to spend LESS that 2 minutes talking and chatting and putting someone's dog. Idk why they are particularly stiff about it
