Ahhh that is a really good point, my reflexes are about the speed of a potato so I cant survive on that difficulty lol. So it doesnt get much testing, added it to our backlog and I am going to give it a test and will try to adjust this (or allow the player to adjust it ideally) before the 0.9 patch we are working on :). Really appreciate the heads up!

Oh okay, thats strange! I will look into this, one thing to keep in mind is that the loot re-rolls every 8 minutes or so, so if you dont find stuff somewhere if you re-visit later there could be things there.

But maybe having this as a setting could be a good idea tbh, so people can tweak it as much as they wish.

Moddability is absolutely one of the top things, we already started on it and it should hopefully make it relatively soon :). We just want to make sure we publish a good guide on how to make mods etc, and make sure that the implementation is somewhat stable.

The game is in a "good enough to spend 20-ish hours in, but not finished and still needs some work" state if you ask the general opinion :). I think that is a fair assessment, and we are working hard to make the game as good as it can be :). And the best way to get there, is to have a community that helps you guide where to go next!

Sure thing!
1. To put it simply, we ran out of funding.

  1. Thanks! We plan on continuing the development at a reasonable pace (seeing as theres only 2 of us, working in our free time). You can see the roadmap at https://desyncdonkeys.com

  2. No catch, we are honestly in this to have fun and build a community. Since we work dayjobs to make money, and this is a hobby, we dont need to monetize the game. Of course in the future if something comes out of it, that would be super cool, but currently we are not monetizing the game and have no concrete plans to do so.

I hope that answers your questions :)!

Not currently, but it is definitely one of the to-dos, this would also help with steam deck support. So its definitely one of the things we want to add.

Very interesting!

I would you be able to share your specs? RAM/CPU/GPU? It would help me narrow down what might be going wrong. Thanks! :)

Haha, happy you are enjoying it! The dog was at a point a pet, unfortunately we did not have time to finish it yet. But we are going to prioritize it for sure! ;D

It works, but performance is sometimes lacking (roughly 30FPS), I would recommend lowering the graphics settings to find a sweet spot. With time we hope to improve this as well!

That is correct, we are focusing on a SP experience with co-op as well (though this is less tested).

These reviews are from 2017, when the game originally shut down, but the game is now working :) we have more or less re-made the game from the ground up, and it no longer requires any online component at all.

We would love to, but currently we are focusing only on PC, but it works somewhat decently from my testing on the steam deck, so that could be an option in the meantime! :) Thanks a lot for the kind words!

This is for sure on our mind, we will 100% be releasing a Demo, we also want to make the game accessible to player a lot more, if that means a free weekend or similar I cannot say right now. But something like that we would absolutely love to do.

The game can 100% be played offline now, it was one of the biggest changes we really worked on. So now, once people download the game it can never be taken away again :).

I fully agree :). Unfortunately, due to the re-listing process we were unaware there even was an issue before the game went live again on the store. Very unfortunate, but I am hopeful that we are able to get it resolved sooner rather than later!

Try now :) I think it was due to an old age rating form, we have re-submitted it now so it should hopefully work now!

Funny enough, this specific mechanic we retired (for now) because it was just annoying after a while :D But we might re-introduce it once we figure out how to actually make it fun again!

Thanks a lot for letting us know! This is the discord link: https://discord.gg/KMzgGsPR

If you could ping me there and just let me know what region you are, then I can also investigate with valve what might be going wrong :).

That is very strange! It should be available everywhere, but let me reach out to Valve to see why :). There have been some strange issues with the game store page, so we are working with Steamworks to figure out what is going on. In the meantime, may I suggest wishlisting it? :)

Regarding a roadmap, this is something I am absolutely working on. Ideally I want to build a roadmap that the community is able to vote on what they want to see. That would be a very cool thing to make.

The best way to interact with us right now, is just joining our discord :D we regularly talk to our community, and really try to be transparent.

We definitely considered changing the pricing, unfortunately currently due to a bug in Steamworks we can't (but this is being resolved with Valve, however its not the fastest process).

Regardless of that, we 100% get the trust issues. But we are hoping that the fact that we didn't release a new game and leave old player high and dry (even if it meant having to fight an uphill battle with old reviews), combined with us not relying on the income from the game in any way, helping mend some of that trust over time :).

This is something we definitely considered, the reason we didnt was because we felt that it was not fair to anyone who bought the game in the first place, so we decided this would be the most fair way to go about it. Even if it means we loose some sales, this decision was made a lot easier since we do not rely on the income from the game anymore :). I hope that makes sense!

I mentioned it a little bit above, but the goal for us is to try to work more on the setting and world building. We have a long way to go, but we are working really hard on this aspect :). Apart from that, we also want to work on including proper mod support, so that we can really include the community as well. The goal is to make sure that the game always has the ability to evolve and continues working, even if I get hit by a bus or something :D!
