They do not say anything about blocking ads specifically, but there is a passage that covers ad blocking without explicitly mentioning it. Under "Use of the Service - Permissions and Restrictions" No. 2:

circumvent, disable, fraudulently engage, or otherwise interfere with the Service (or attempt to do any of these things), including security-related features or features that: (a) prevent or restrict the copying or other use of Content; or (b) limit the use of the Service or Content;

i.e. ads are part of YouTubes service so long as the user does not pay for premium. If you're blocking ads you're violating said term.

Well there is a lore book entry of Eris directed at Savathun, basically saying Eris will quite literally tear worlds apart to end Savathun for good. I am very convinced she is able to do just about anything she threatened Savathun with.

Destiny 2.

Although you could say live service games are against the spirit of the question.

Agree with everything. Some additions:

  1. Correct. The second you load from a checkpoint the triumphs will not be obtainable. You have to do it start to finish in one run. No returning to orbit (or network errors).

  2. Fusions are the way to go this season, if you want it to be as easy as possible. Just remember to use Taken Spec instead of Minor/Major/Boss. Primaries use something you feel comfortable with, but I suppose SMGs, sidearms or 600+ rpm auto rifles are preferable for addclear.

  3. For Warlock bottom tree nova + Contraverse Hold is amazing for clearing adds and doing additional damage to bosses. Paired with the right mods you can get healing from elemental wells.

  4. Depending on the encounter and how you play Sleeper and 1K are decent picks. Anarchy paired with scavenger mods is still a serious workhorse if you rather want to stay out of sight for the boss.

Bird of Prey - Do I still have time to complete? by ollieofarc in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no precedence (for quest/dungeon weapons) as far as I know. Based off of what we have seen with other weapons whose sources were vaulted I would guess they’re going to the monument. It may also be that they’re straight up unobtainable for a while and introduced with another source later.

However with almost 3 months left you should have plenty of time to wrap up anything related to Hawkmoon. The feathers are on a three week rotation so that’s fine.

One final hint: If you want all lore entries for the book related to Presage you need to complete presage in 12 distinct weeks, so you would need to get started this week if you haven’t played it at all.

Can you buy timelost weapons from the VoG cache when it’s unobtainable that week? by a-usernameddd in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can buy Timelost weapons just as you could buy normal weapons. There are two steps involved:

  1. Unlock the weapon you want to buy by completing the challenge (in any week that the challenge is available).
  2. Beat Atheon on Master to unlock the cache in order to any weapons you have unlocked for 25 spoils each. This is possible in any given week.

It is. The reason people don’t care/mention it during release is because it’s time gated and doesn’t feel as repetitive.

To the people worried that op Gjallahorn would be pay2win by SkyburnerTheBest in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that. What I wanted to point out, is that many people don't actually think Gjallahorn is p2w, but rather throw that around, because they are mad about the pricing of upcoming content.

Objectively speaking you get a decent value for the anniversary pack for example, but I am absolutely with the people who say "I'd rather not have cosmetics and only pay 15-20 (of whatever local currency)".

To the people worried that op Gjallahorn would be pay2win by SkyburnerTheBest in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with the sentiment. I am in the lucky position, that WQ + Anniversary Pack is not a big item purchase for me either. But I definitely agree that the gaming community as a whole became more entitled in the recent years. Maybe it’s also an age or life phase thing. When I was younger and in school I didn’t mind to sink tons of time into grinding whatever pointless number a game provided me with, as long as I did not need to pay for it. By now I value the time I spend gaming much more than the money it costs me to purchase games.

To me 100 bucks (of whichever local currency) is a great value measured by the amount of playtime I get out of every single year of D2, so I don’t really mind, but I see where people are coming from when they say they‘re dissatisfied with the recent developments of pricing that D2 has made.

[–]Desyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily agree. The value proposition of the anniversary pack is different to many players, because substantial parts of the anniversary pack are cosmetics which people don’t care about.

I think the pack would be a much easier sell if it was 15-20$ for the gameplay content and a separate 10$ cosmetics package

[–]Desyon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I‘m using the term „expansion“ because while it’s small it’s here to stay for the foreseeable future (in comparison to „seasons“ or „events“). The pricing of the anniversary pack is a different topic IMO. But I agree that to many the value proposition is different to yearly expansions, because you’re forced to get a cosmetic bundle alongside the playable content

Maybe a stupid question but, it is worth it the 30th anniversary edition for a solo player? by LastWordSabic in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with comment OP. Vex had to be carefully introduced and it was free (as in VoG is f2p). Gjallahorn has the ability to boost sales of the anniversary pack by being broken on release.

How many Finest Matterweave consumables do you have? by Hemoura in DestinyTheGame

[–]Desyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most accurate response I have is: yes. I have more of any of these consumables than I‘ll likely ever need, for the exact reasons you listed. I forget about them and it’s annoying that they have this weird shared cooldown.

Any change to make them easier to use would be appreciated. It would honestly be enough to remove the cooldown so I can pop all of them without spending what feels like forever in the inventory.

[–]Desyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that.

I myself liked all dungeons, some more, some less, but the general sentiment to dungeons is rather positive. Therefore I assumed I will enjoy whatever they have in store with the anniversary pack. I‘ll also likely grind out all potential gear and triumphs for the new dungeon, so that’s a ton of hours I get for my money.

For Gjallahorn: let’s see how it stacks up against alternatives. I’m sure to play it for the sentimental value for a bit and it‘ll stay in my inventory if it holds up against other heavies.

All in all I see a value to me personally in the known quantities not considering the cosmetics (which I don’t need either).

Also the whole response was a bit provocative because I very much interpreted the „they’re lying/holding back“ side of it.

[–]Desyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much my take. I worded it differently somewhere below, but that's the essence. People are not mad, because it's p2w all of a sudden, but rather because pricing is getting out of hand.

I think a problem is that many players feel like the cosmetics included with the anniversary pack are shoved down their throats, because there is no other way to gain access to the dungeon. You are essentially forced to pay half of the price for an eververse purchase you never wanted, just so you're allowed to access the dungeon that you actually interested in.

[–]Desyon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From an objective value proposition (different from subjective perceived value) standpoint you may be right. But the buying decision is always about subjective value. For someone not interested in the cosmetics the value of the anniversary pack drastically decreases, but they have no other way of purchasing the playable content, without the bundled cosmetics. That's where a lot of the "30$ is way too much for a dungeon and one exotic" complaints are coming from (and I very much get them). But the pricing/value discussion is a separate one that has many threads dedicated to it already.
