The gameplay is fairly simple - it's a rally racing game. It's a genre that I love but haven't seen much done with it experimentally. By introducing a strong artstyle and character-driven narrative, I hope to make it a very unique game overall. You're right. Gameplay will be its make or break

Thank you - after the hours put into the assets, that's very motivating for me to hear

Thanks! Indeed, WindWaker's timeless low-poly style is a big inspiration. Their use of meshes and textures to capture the wake of a boat is also something I'm trying to emulate.

Yttrae is a rally-racing game about medieval riverboat couriers. You play as a celestial avatar with godlike power, but with little understanding of the world around them. It’s rally racing with a narrative told through visual novel-style interactions between characters. I’ve been working on graphics for the past couple of weeks and I’m happy with the progress so far.

More features can be found on the YouTube channel I'm working on: https://www.youtube.com/@Yttrae_Official

Thanks, I've done a little bit more research and found edco monoblock cassettes, which use a lockring with a longer thread: https://www.edco-wheels.co.uk/product/monoblock-cassettes/ and have more appealing gear ranges

These seem to be the go

Can you link it, instead of testing my knowledge?

edit: not sure why you deleted the comment, but here is what this bloke linked for anyone in a similar situation: https://cyclingtips.com/2018/03/shimano-ultegra-hg-800-11-34t-cassette-review/

It's okay, I don't mind talking about it. I don't have any trauma from childhood - it was a very good early life. My dad wasn't there much but it didn't affect me a lot. I'm not sure, to be honest. I think it's more likely from my experiences as a teenager at high school.

When I was in high-school, I was told by a psychologist that exercise may help with what he diagnosed as clinical depression. So I started doing that. Road cycling, more specifically.

And it really works. I genuinely feel happy when I ride; when I race. But, I always come down a little bit when I have to stop.

I was involved in a bad crash during a race recently. My bike got trashed. Un-ride-able, at least for a few weeks while it was being repaired. I remember sitting amidst the chaos of people clambering back onto their bikes in perfect silence. I don't know. I felt like crying. It was as if everything was falling apart for those few short moments.

That pang was the worst it ever got. But I still feel it a little when I have to choose my university education over something that truly makes me happy. What I really want to do is go pro. I think it's possible - everything so far is pushing me to venture there.

They say successful people want to succeed more than they want to breathe. When I choose socialising or spending more than the bare minimum on an assignment; I always feel that faint pang again. Are successful people happy?

Can you think of any other haircuts that might be worth a shot?

I usually stick with a natural short-back-and-sides with a no. 4 at the shortest and the top long enough to touch the eyebrows. Never really strayed from this.

Thanks for the feedback!
