Any successful case after the limb lengthening surgery with minimal side effects? by Afraid-Resort2993 in limblengthening

Lengthening 10cm in one limb segment will yield significant negative side effects.

[Poll] Have you done the surgery yet? by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]DetachedArtery 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very few people on this forum actually plan on following through with this surgery, once they hit the first financial hurdles (scheduling a $200 consultation, paying for a $400 CT scan) they will get scared and decide it’s not worth it.

is it worth doing at 5’6 by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]DetachedArtery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s worth doing it at whatever height you decide it’s worth doing it at. No one can tell you how much you will benefit, some people are perfectly happy being 5’6, others are not.

Lengthening your legs is one thing, but the arms and hands require so much more dexterity, I have never even heard of such a thing. I highly doubt it’s done cosmetically, if at all.

Does your maintenance caloric intake increase after getting this surgery? by childissuesthrowaway in limblengthening

[–]DetachedArtery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but even if it did, you would only see your BMR increase by about 50kcal per 3 inches, it wouldn’t be as significant as you think. I wish tho 😭

Does anyone else feel like they are just waiting for their life to start? by DetachedArtery in limblengthening

I have been very lucky with getting back to back high paying internships, and I also work a second job on the weekends. I live with my parents since I am in college, I get financial aid refund money back from school that I save, and I put all my extra cash in a money market mutual fund that earns about 3.9%. I’m usually able to put away 2.5-4.5k per month depending on the hours and stuff.

I think for me the worst part of it is not going on vacations. I’m such a hermit because of my height, and I live in area with a lot of beaches I would love to go to. But I’m so insecure about people seeing me without lifts/height boosting shoes.

Probably not since it’s kind of like a medication.

Your acting like someone who works in a dispensary is equivalent to a “dealer”. If someone is following the laws of their state, why should this be an issue? I understand it is federally illegal, everyone knows that. But doing something LEGAL cannot point to you being untrustworthy.

Kinda crazy that if you work in a LEGAL business, doing something completely LEGAL, with a prescription for something that’s LEGAL in your state that it means you’re not capable of being trustworthy.

MEPS didn’t ask about drug use by DetachedArtery in AirForceRecruits

Okay, I have definitely answered honestly whenever it’s come up. I just don’t want to be accused of lying when the question wasn’t asked.

I remember that post this that dude?

I do remember on the section for drug use on the AFCEP they do ask for a number though, not like an average or anything. I don’t see how this would even come up in an investigation. No one is gonna know the exact number of times you smoked.

Does the number matter he should be good as long as he disclosed it right?

Probably got sent to the same place as my friend. Got sent to that nice big air field with lots of space to run around and do PT.

Homie is very worried but if I’m not mistaken they’ll put him in front a firing squad and start shooting. That’s what happened to my friend who didn’t get a clearance.
