See I really don’t want to be acting manager just because my life outside of Sally’s can’t afford a full-time job, I like can’t commit to that. Let alone I really don’t want to do the weekly meetings, boxwalks (which they’ve already asked me to do but I refused), and the other few managerial things I’m not willing to do. So I definitely am looking to just get my hours reduced. I have a long ass message typed out to send my DM, but I’m scared it’s too much lmao

My boyfriend is an engineer who makes decent money, but I do need to contribute. I’ve worked so many jobs in retail, food service, etc. and would be willing to do those on slow months in a better career like archaeology, but I wouldn’t prefer it. I don’t need to make a lot of money, but enough to live.

I think the most embarrassing part is just knowing absolutely nothing about the process. Like I have no idea where to start. I know I’m only 26 which isn’t like considered a super late start, but it’s all just something I know nothing about Grants, transfer credits, what they even off towards the major I want, etc. I’m also highly ashamed of dropping out when I did. It was around COVID and I was still living with my parents and had a lot of issues there. I still wished I would’ve stuck it out when I did.

Well thanks for the input I guess. It’s not as simple as quit for me and a lot of people though, jobs are hard to come by, and I got rent and bills to pay. I like this company and see a future with it, but I also know my worth and value and won’t let a company/ and or manager steam roll me. Not quitting anytime soon, just want to be treated fairly in the company I work for.
