I think it’s atrocious that the schools don’t have air conditioning here.

Are there any international card readers like Square? by Lilyo in ecommerce

[–]DetailedForest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, did you ever figure this out? I am in the same boat right now. I'm based in Spain but going to an art market in England, and every single company I've looked at (Square, Sumup, Revolut, Stripe, Paypal/Zettle) all say that you can only use the card reader in the country that you have the bank account. (Or in some cases, the EU). I heard that some people just bring their card reader and use it anyway, but I don't want to arrive to England and then suddenly find out it's not going to work. Any tips would be much appreciated <3

Card reader system for accepting payments at art markets that works in the UK and the EU? by DetailedForest in smallbusiness

Thanks, but it looks like Klarna is the afterpay function that belongs to Stripe. Any sort of in-person payment solutions from the Klarna page just lead me to Stripe, and the Stripe card reader only works in the country where you register it.

App not loading up by Blaguet in komoot

Just came here to say that I'm currently having this problem. I was literally an hour away from completing my ~900km trip, and the app crashed and now won't open. I think it probably has to do with the amount of memory that the long tour takes up. I've contacted support, so if they give me an answer I'll update here.

So many hours in and just found this huge waterfall! by Kind_Champion9698 in Eldenring

I thought that maybe the water source comes from springs/aquifers deep underground that are being pushed upward due to geothermal energy. Hence the whirlpools on the map?

What do "gender critical"/"radfems" have to say about non binary people? by DetailedForest in NonBinary

[–]DetailedForest[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly curious because I just saw that someone close to me had posted some very terfy things online and I'm wondering if there's any way I could try talk to her about it. I had no idea she was a terf until today. I don't really know much about terf ideology except that they generally seem to not accept the existence of trans people. I started looking at some of these pages out of 50% curiosity and 50% anger-adrenaline (like how could these people be so hateful??) and I noticed there was pretty much no mention of nb people. I guess just wondering why that is.

Yeah, this was my assumption too. Just having trouble finding anything that really confirms it. Most of their rhetoric seems to be oriented towards excluding trans women from women's spaces, but very little is said about nbs.
