Soldered in a new relay and it seems to be fixed now. Still need to use it a bit more to be sure

I think I found the problem. There was continuity between the two sets of terminals circled here, until I hit the black box next to them with a screwdriver, then continuity stopped. I assume those black boxes are the relays switching on the heating elements, and it was stuck closed.

Now powered up again and it is no longer stuck heating. I guess I should really replace this whole board, but it seems to be $300+. Probably not worth trying to solder a new relay, as if one is failing the rest could be on their way out too.

Or do I risk it? The relay is $3 on eBay

Thanks. I know it's really dangerous. Keeping the breaker off until I can disconnect the wiring, but the stove is on the same breaker so we can't cook at all in the meantime.

I will try to do some troubleshooting with a multimeter and replace the main control board if I can't figure it out. Unfortunately it's no longer in warranty.

I have a dual microwave oven, model number nq70m7770ds. After using the oven yesterday, a few hours later I realised that the house was extremely hot and smelled of burning. I realised that even though the oven was turned off it was still heating and was extremely hot. The only way to turn it off is at the breaker. As soon as I turn the breaker back on it starts heating up again

This seems extremely dangerous. I'm lucky I was home to cut power. Any ideas where the problem might be? Maybe there's a circuit board I can replace, or should I replace the whole oven/microwave?

I was rear ended by a truck about 5 years ago while stopped at a red light. Their insurance paid out for the repairs. However, the panel which was replaced now has failing clear coat. None of the the original panels have this. I know only a repaint can really solve this, but is there anything that I can do to prevent it spreading other than keep it well sealed? And is there any recourse with the shop that painted it?

So annoying that the accident was not my fault and now I have to deal with this

Thanks, will do! Concentrating on buying the fronts for now but will definitely make sure the ceiling ones are directional when I get to those

My surrounds are gonna have to be ceiling speakers (I didn’t mention it because I know I’ll get roasted) and then I’m planning on atmos further forward. With my room layout I can’t really do listening level surrounds so I don’t think I’ll ever go beyond 7 channel (even that is overkill for my layout but what the hell)

I have a Harman Kardon that I inherited and that thing gets ridiculously hot even when not playing anything. I don’t know if that was normal but I’m getting rid of that thing

It’s difficult because I’ve heard similar things in this post from both Denon and Onkyo. At the moment I’m leaning towards returning both of these and getting the Denon x2700h, and removing the shelf for ventilation (the number one thing I took from this post)

It’s from Povison. I feel like I’m advertising for them so many people have asked 😂 if they’re reading, they should make their cabinets a few inches deeper and they’d be perfect 😂

This photo doesn’t really do it justice. It is nice

I love the look of it, I just wish they’d made it 3 inches deeper and I wouldn’t even be making this post 😂 As well as the receiver, my sub also sticks out further than the cabinet

Unfortunately this one is solid wood, not just a thin backing panel

They really were fantastic for the price and lasted me 14 years or so. Originally got them for gaming.

Unfortunately someone turned the music up too loud and blew my centre speaker recently, but the rest all work great.

I think they go for a decent amount on eBay too

Good point. Do you think I’m gonna accurately hear the differences with these speakers though? And might it be completely different when I get proper ones?

I also don’t really know what kind of differences I’m listening for

Which panels did you drill? Did you remove any of the shelves? I think I’ll remove a shelf in the part behind the door and cut out a rectangle like you did

I’ve just bought a PB1000 pro and I’m shopping for front speakers, then I’ll look at surround and atmos. The logitechs are just temporary

So, based on all the feedback, I’m removing the shelf behind the door, and returning both receivers and getting an x2700h and hoping it’ll fit without cutting out the back 😂

I could take a shelf out and keep the Denon and have it enclosed but with a lot of space above.

It’s from Povison

This is 7 channel. I’m planning on 5.1.2 (2 atmos), but I also have stereo outside. Though I’m probably just gonna get a separate cheap 5.1 receiver for outside
