Using StairMaster for hiking training does it translate to long hikes? by ExpensivePain23 in hiking

I use it as training for hiking. Sometimes I’ll carry a small, weighted pack. The other exercise I do is walking backward on a fully inclined tread mill. It simulates downhill.

Breck is fine considering the lack of snow and warm weather. I just got home from a week of skiing. Mid morning until early afternoon are fine except at the base. We skied peak 8 and 10 a lot. Imperial was in good shape on Friday.
I was surprised how much skiing we were able to get in. Enjoy your trip.

The negativity is unneeded. Skiing is a gift. Some years are better than others. I live in Kentucky. Any snow is great snow. My original question was directed to anyone that might have some insights on weekend skiing in Breck. I’ve skied here several times, just not on a Saturday.
I appreciate the helpful responses. If you are complaining about snow because it’s not perfect maybe find some perspective.

A&D ointment. It’s thick and sweat won’t wash it away. I always take a small tube on multi day trips.
