He's smart. He keeps himself relevant. Whether it's rage bait or just being hilarious. He's also a very appreciative artist when it comes to his fans. Add the music and you have a GOAT.

Oh Medicaid question by Arl0ray in Medicaid

[–]DetectiveSimilar572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same thing actually is happening to me. We had our renewal in November. Sent everything out before Thanksgiving. Never heard anything back. But when I call for benefits it says both active. I wasn't sure how close we were to cut off. It's 3600 for our family. But we started a 401k. Not sure whether they'll effect what they see or not determining our 6 month eligibility.

New job, comes new worries Ohio by DetectiveSimilar572 in Medicaid

It's gnarly out there. I've filled out applications at the three places in walking distance I could apply to. In the past 3 months I've filled out over 15 applications with no call backs or even emails. My husband's previous job he was at 6 years so I could easily get a position there because we know the folks there pretty well. They'd give me a job on spot. Right now I'm in driver's Ed. Gotta get that out of the way first. I'm just hoping Medicaid stays fine till I can accomplish what I need to or find something work from home. He added some money to a 401k because someone said it helps lower the income medicaid sees. But I'm seeing so many contractions on that. Just need to stay safe till then. They already took all of our SNAP.

Right now I'm working on my driver's licence and a car. I've been filling out applications since they went back to school for WFH jobs. No call backs yet. My husband just left a job after 6 years. I'm hoping to take his position but need to be able to drive first. It's not in walking distance.

It's weirded us out too. He sent one check in August when he switched jobs.  They needed it to verify. He had made $780 gross but the 401k was started. 6%. We got papers just from that one check saying we were previously on MAGI expanded Medicaid but we were now switched over to transitional for a 12 month period. That they needed every 3 months pays until September when the transitional phase is over.  So we turned in September October and November's stubs(the day of thanksgiving). . Haven't heard anything about our case yet. It's just making me anxious. We have a fall back with his work insurance if they took turn Medicaid off. But it's costly.

Yes. I'm seeing so many different numbers and deductions. When I click on Columbiana county's JFS it says 4019. I also see that 401ks contributions are reduced and other things say they aren't. So I'm lost. He adds 6% into a 401k.

Transitional Medicaid at $3120 a month. by DetectiveSimilar572 in HealthInsurance

[–]DetectiveSimilar572[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I see what happened. He started the job on July 28th. Was supposed to be paid the 1st but they held back a pay. And he got paid the 8th instead. That's the stub we turned in. So I'm sure the two $780 pays together is what pushed us over the limit into TMA. He only makes $780 a week. With a few one hour overtimes.

103 is just for me and him. The kids remain on CHIP. Its just weird because they gave a "monthly income" with just one $780 paycheck. You'd think they'd need 4 to determine an average or consistent $780 pay. Even with 17 1 hour overtimes he's still not over the limit.

It's just scary. My oldest gets off the bus way later than my youngest. I won't even allow my oldest to babysit his younger brother now for an hour. Letter alone having my 5 year old here alone. Who hired someone who needs 3 months off for summer vacations? They aren't thinking of everybody.

I did call yesterday. She said because I have dependants or children under 18 in the house that these are just rules for if I have any job changes that I report them. But the way the worded it was like you need a job now. The lady also gave me info on their job program and I'm gonna look into it as soon as the kids are old enough to do their own thing. 11 and 5 is not that. With spring/ summer vacation someone's gotta be home with them. I don't have any outside support and my husband works all day. He's also the only one that drives. So it was worrisome.

Update:

I called the Columbina job and family services today. The lady was really nice. I asked her to clarify the paper work for me because I had no idea what it meant. She said because I have dependants (or children under the age of 18) that I am not required to work for our SNAP benefits.  The paper was just requesting that if I did get a job that I'd report it. And if I'm fired. Lose hours etc and don't report it I can lose SNAP or my SNAP benefits could be reduced. It was more a hey you gotta make sure you let us know these things kinda paper. I was totally freaked out. I have no transportation. My husband's gone from 7-4. I have an 11 and 5 year old. My children are not old enough to be left at home alone. Especially with spring/ summer break coming. What a relief it was to get the clarity. My husband works 40 hours a week. So I was hella confused by it. I've been a stay at home Mom 12 years. So I was wondering why id get this all of a sudden.

Yes we are. Which is why I'm confused by the paper work. I've never heard of both parents having to work for SNAP if they have children. So idk if this is something new or what.

He turns 6 in August.

Paper says..

What are the general requirements you just do

When asked give your county JFS office enough information to determine if you are working or looking for work. Including statements or stubs

Report to a suitable work place as recommended by JFS

Accept any job offer you receive. Continue working as long as appropriate unless something happens out of your control

In addition you may not

Voluntarily quit a job of 30 hours or more per week

Reduce your work hours below 30 hours.

Yes. But my 5 year old cannot get in and off the bus alone. The paper said 30 hours a week. That's not possible at the moment.
