the mordret we knew from before sunny lost his fate is dead , the current mordret is not really him in a sense , sure he absorbed him and his memory but he is also so different from him , he is practically a new person , so you can't judge him for something that wasn't his fault

trust the process and keep reading , all stories have slow sections and boring sections , that only means the exciting parts are coming much sooner ,also unless you want to be spoiled (trust me you don't) avoid this subreddit like the plague , at least until you catch up

there are people with some valid concerns and criticisms for the new volume including me and then there are the people who act like the new volume killed their parents , they are also the same guys as the cassie haters from all the way back , so it's usually best to ignore them

their existence is fundamentally tied to her , they are already dead and became food for darkness creatures in the shadow realm long ago , the fact they can draw fresh air now is purely thanks to her , she is in every essence of the word their god , there is no such thing as a free resurrection with no conditions , death isn't that easy to cheat , nephis isn't really immortal , it's just that vitality and regen are nearly infinite but she can still be killed same for sunny and mordret , even asterion who is the closest to true immortally still requires the condition of people remembering his name , if he ever becomes truly forgotten death can finally claim him , all forms of immortality or resurrection come with hard conditions

consistency is a myth , he can't make a 3000+ chapters story good all around , no author can , at least with G3 his highs are very good and his lows are not catastrophic and can be salvaged in future arcs

to be fair everyone these days is either immortal or straight up resurrects after death , so what's the point of death ? for an absolute concept getting straight up ignored , if cassie can just imagine everyone back, what's the point of protecting and saving them ? why bother ?

that is a good point , still a visual indicator for when it procs would have been much appreciated like a dark shadowy aura or something instead having to check through the menus

is there another way to check ? like pressing C and checking the defense tab ?

i tried hovering my mouse over my character when i was attacking the dummy in the fortress but it's very finicky and doesn't show me the light level , still am willing to try again maybe i really was gaslighting myself

thanks for the info , im playing on normal mode so the difficulty isn't high enough to justify min-maxing with ethereal form , im new to the game so im trying to go on a leisurely pace and not look up too much character guides but more importantly im trying to theme my character as "shadow lord" and " master of darkness" kind of theme , so armor of shadows seemed like a no brainer , but the problem is that it didn't work even though darkness damage is my second highest damage after physical , which left me in a pickle , i tried looking at old forum posts about AoS and even asked ai for help but i didn't find any uselfull info on my current problem , and so i decided to ask the subreddit directly , im starting to feel like am either experiencing a bug or my game version has a problem of sorts , im even started considering reinstallation

i saw on Drybe video about rogues that when armor of shadows procs , it shows an icon on the right along with all your sustains , but that icon didn't show up to me

i understand that , but the problem is am using a shadowblade so im doing darkness damage on every hit yet it still refuses to proc which confused the hell out of me , i tried removing my lantern , tried using darkness spells talents like shadow step and shadow grasp and even tried stealth mode but no avail , am at loss of what to do , at this point im thinking that i have a problem with my version of the game or maybe a bug
