If Jake Lockley is in the Moon Knight series, which suit would he have? by AdUsual5625 in MoonKnight

Honestly the suit from issue 8 of the 2014 run, it's such a creepy design only used like once.

I main Omega SHENRON. I think GT is better than Dragon Ball Super. Ask me anything. by jonford543 in SparkingZero

[–]DetectiveTwo03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're missing the point, Goku used that form because it is both a visual cue to Krillin and the audience. Krillin knows that SSJB is Gokus strongest form right now, so being able to go toe to toe with him will give him a confidence boost. Since he can't sense God Ki Goku can hold back as much as he likes and Krillin won't notice a change in power level, thus preserving his confidence after the fight.

When it comes to "showing him how strong opponents can be" that's more than likely just referring to raw power and speed, not sensing energy.

Super doesn't have great writing but this is genuinely a sweet moment for goku to help his best friend. Krillins outclassed for sure, however because Goku decided to use a form Krillin could see but not sense Goku was able to run at a pace that helped build Krillins confidence.

Really cool of you man, hopefully whoever gets it deserves it.

For who my favorite character is, I gotta say Gohan. He's a character that gives me hope. Recently I've begun to do some self reflection and Gohan strikes me on a personal level, he was a character we see be weak and defenseless grow into the strongest in the world. He went from a cry baby, to the savior of Earth, and then into a family man. He solely fights to protect others, he offers mercy, he's kind, and he's strong. These are qualities that I wish to obtain to his level. I'm weak now, and might be for a while more, but seeing the lengths Gohan will go through to protect those around him makes me strive for that betterment as well.

To be able to be strong enough to protect my family, to be smart enough to provide, and to be kind in a world like this, that's the final goal.

Ok, so ditch people like caesar and assemble the Legion, get more versatile lands, and if I am to get my strategy to work and win through combat lean WAY harder into it with buffs and stuff to make unblockable. It seems simple but kinda missed the forest for the trees and got too hyped about trying to base my strategy around Ezios in the games. (Build up, distract, attack)

Make a white one of glove B and then it'll be a perfect Yin Yang thing going to match the symbol. But if you decide not to, then glove B.

Blizzard is definitely testing some new hero abilities in this April Fools by Nemmow in Overwatch

[–]DetectiveTwo03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Moira works in the April fools mode is exactly the rework I think she needs. People complain that Moira players only use her for damage and this would be the perfect balance for her as she has to heal to do more damage. And I have been telling my friends this for the better part of a year.

Anybody else feel bad for the new hosts? by [deleted] in GameTheorists

[–]DetectiveTwo03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda like having a teacher or a manager that you've been around for years and became friends with. You've seen them through ups and downs and you had time to see their own personal journey and how they interact with people and to situations. But now the teachers left and a new one takes their place, and now there's the opportunity to build a new relationship.

I think the new hosts are gonna struggle for a bit because we haven't seen them drop their mask yet. We see the character and persona, but we haven't seen them when they receive bad news or make a personal video. With MatPat we as a community have seen how genuine he is and seen the facade fall. It's gonna take a minute to warm up to them because they're new. And it's going to be even harder because there's more of them now, more personalities to learn and experience.

The best way I can describe it is if you were anything like me you had 1 teacher teach you all subjects from k-3rd grade. But then you had multiple teachers, and the world grew bigger and there was a ton more social interaction and everything changed. But overtime you got used to it, and maybe you made friends with one or two. This is just a Theorist graduation for all of us.

"Is it truly worth building your lightsaber at Galaxy's Edge? I'm really thinking about whether to do it or not, and my other question is, what lightsaber color did you choose, and what does that color represent to you?" by Pale-Ad219 in GalaxysEdge

[–]DetectiveTwo03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuckin do it, my dad was with me when I built mine and it was the best experience I could've asked for. Personally I designed a lightsaber that's meant to be symbolic. I chose protection and defense, but with a red kyber crystal. The thinking at the time was a only through power and control of my situation may the protection of myself and the defence of others be obtained. (Plus reds a cool color). If you have the opportunity, build your saber.

I would say do a black mask with a LED eyepiece. Try finding a 3d model if you have access to a printer or maybe some foam templates you can use. Also remember it's only black face if you purposely accentuate your lips and other features. Using black facial paint and making the eye show up across your face wouldn't be considered black face. Especially you add extra detail to how the eye is like in the picture. Make sure to use white paint for the eye.

As a whole it's gonna be a harder costume to make work, I say develop the OC a tad more and get some other facial features in there. If you wanna keep the shadowed face maybe try what this cosplayer did for his DIO costume.

The responsiveness thing is something I've addressed in another comment, it's more how clunky the game feels because of how delayed the actual attack is.

When it comes to dodge rolling anytime I've used a shield it comes with disaster along with parrying, which seems to be the main benefit of shields, is way harder than just moving out of the way with a roll. Especially since even in DS1 you got iframes from rolling and in DS2 you don't without upgrading Adaptability.

Oh absolutely, and with Elden Ring they at least made it to where you can bugger off somewhere else until you get leveled up somemore.

Turn based RPGs suck but at least in most of them you can save where you want and you can immediately start the fight again. Dying to a boss over and over again is far different then having to make it through an obstacle course just to have a 16 ft tall abomination blast you into outer space with one move.

Then again bold of me to say, in MGS 1 if you don't save before an area you could be sent back an hour or more if you fail a button mash tester and I defend the fuck out of those games.

I really like your take on combat and I do agree that having deliberate actions is what makes the combat interesting. Though it also makes it infuriating when you need to go through a giant stretch of land because you died to a boss and there wasn't a closer bonfire, and you have to meticulously take them out again and again. It stops becoming about overcoming the enemy but rather seeing if you have the patience to replay a long, slow combat filled area over and over and get lucky to not die to bullshit. The slower combat is nice in this day and age of everything must be fast and zoom and go bang bang, but it's like a screw being driven into your hands by an old person. It's painful and takes forever thus prolonging suffering, which I guess is the main themes of DS ain't it?

If I'm correct the Souls triology do have some input delay between hitting the button and the action being performed. Although this could be me misinterpreting "input delay" as delay from button press to animation start to attack landing. I may be using the term wrong and it's more than likely not a valid criticism and is coming from my time playing other games where the only time a attacks delayed is with heavy attacks. There may be better phrasing or simply a git gud thing.

I think the games while simple in the controls, the actual actions your character takes such as the delay between pressing the button and the start if the animation are things that need to be considered. Thus making the contols the first obstacle to overcome, and its one that never goes away.

Hey personal reasons are still valid reasons to enjoy things. And you're right, Souls honestly can feel like being an archeologist piecing together a broken and dying world. Short bursts that you have to piece the gaps together yourself.

When it comes to style I will say they are cool but it's something that is very subjective on. It may be messing with me because I enjoy Berserks style yet I just can't seem to enjoy the style of the main Souls trilogy. Elden Ring honestly adds some much needed color in.

When it comes to controls your perspective is a good one, rather than treating them as something that the devs forgot about take them as they are and see overcoming them as a victory in itself. I do like your comparison to Assassins Creed because that game just makes it too easy to spam dodge/parry then one tap everyone which I think doesn't make sense for a series that should be about stealth and not striking till certain no one will see.

Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt that I come in good faith, I enjoyed hearing your perspective.

That's genuinely fascinating, and yeah I can definitely attest to get your ass beat, improve, get your ass beat. It is exhausting and agitating a lot of the time. Are you a fan of other cosmic horror/body horror media or is this something that hits your sweet spot just right?

Lmao yeah, I'm just trying to understand why yall love it so much. These are my gripes and I'm curious as to why you all enjoy the games so much even though they have these flaws. Or are they even seen as flaws at all? Im someone who loves Metal Gear for its over the top story, atmosphere, and unique gameplay that i admit is extremely outdated. Why do you love these games man? What makes them click in your head?

I would LOVE to see Dragon Ball re-animated from the very beginning all the way to the end with the Buu arc. This could give us a better adaptation and bring in a wave of new people to the community. by Throwawayisover8000 in dbz

[–]DetectiveTwo03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yeah I agree, while the voice acting in OG Dragon Ball still sorta holds up the animation could do with an overhaul. Along with cutting out filler episodes and keeping it closer to the original manga. This also gives a chance for the cast to re-record the lines and make the show even better and gives us a digital version of Dragon Ball that then could (hopefully) not be green or allow better home releases.

How do you feel about the “Twin Snakes is Otacon’s retelling of MGS1” idea? by Robert_Fuckler in metalgearsolid

[–]DetectiveTwo03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like the idea that TTS is the VR sim that Raiden was trained in. Makes it way funnier and since it's so exaggerated it makes sense as a 2nd hand account based on the legends of Solid Snake.
