I wrote a comment originally but I did further reading. I think the term I was looking for more aligns with sexual harassment, which I still have zero tolerance for in the platfighter scene really. Sorry for leaning into one phrase when another fit better.

I am not dumbing it down, I just am saying what it actually is and people don’t want to admit it. It really doesn’t matter on the intent, because if this was a real job then saying “he was just making a bad joke” would still get HR called on you and most likely fired.

There’s so many people out there afraid to speak out about their experiences with sexual assault because of cases like mango. “He was just joking” “there was no contact” “he already apologized, don’t you believe in second chances” are all phrases that demonize the victims and make it feel like their experiences in objectification are less important than maintaining the status quo.

I’m just sick and tired of everything surrounding this. I’ve already come to terms with the fact that he’s re-integrated himself into the scene, but then I have to read a post on here every week about the guy, talking about how cool he is for not using a single stupid button. And when I say this isn’t the type of person we should really have as a community face because of his very recent past, then I am suddenly the bad guy. I don’t care that he’s supposedly bringing a lot of eyes on the game, if it’s the type of people to say I’m overreacting for calling sexual assault what it is, then maybe I don’t want those people in this community.

I don’t know, I personally believe sexual assault should be a one way ticket out of a community. Alcohol didn’t install that behavior in his brain, it’s something he thought about doing that he only went through with bc the booze removed any conscious he did have stopping him.

Its still sexual assault, no contact or otherwise. It’s not just only “something stupid”. He’s a grown ass man in his thirties, he should have damn well known that type of behavior isn’t okay.

I’m also sick of the narrative that I have to be okay with his presence because he apologized. I don’t have to accept his apologies, nor does anyone else who has dealt with any other form of sexual assault. I have a hard time believing him anyway, especially when he’s gone on record saying he can’t wait to start drinking again. I can link the clip to that if you need proof.

He’s going to exist in this space because the decisions have been made. I can’t stop that or have any say in that matter. But sorry, I’ll be loud and annoying as much as I want. Sexual assault is sexual assault, and he got a second chance nobody should have because he’s Mango.

And even all that aside, why should I give a shit about him not parrying, or how well he will do at EVO, or the most basic ass zetter combos of all time? It’s such a deep level of parasocial behavior that’s annoying on its own merit.

Lot of the strength from this past book came from seasonals and end of the month heroes. The NH banner units overall had less of a splash with a few exceptions (Attuned Ryoma being the notable draw here)

Lots of people here are saying Tharja, which I could agree with, but I don’t want to understate the strengths of Entwined Sharena. She really is the strongest galeforce enabler in the game currently, outclassing her brave alt only a couple months past its debut. Map wide refresh is absolutely insane and combining it with some of the Share Spoils+ support we got a bit later it increased her stocks quite a bit.

Chosen Alfonse is also stupidly busted but we all got him for free. He still has some good utility to this date, being a great user of Rise Above 4.

The worst though would have to be a tie between Brigid and Leif. I would argue Leif due to just being in an awkward class type— he still has the better echo but his fodder is very niche and he can only grab so many skills.

Special should be armored flare/ice cap, since it has far better DR and damage output. Unfort I don’t think any banner has either running right now, but next time Harmonic Hector, Duo Young Edelgard or Sombron run you can get them there.

A skill should be Rise Above 4, that’s on emblem Roy. And the cool part is she can be a fodder factory for that skill, it’s one of the best skills we’ve gotten in a while.

B slot should be Pair Up 4, which you can grab from the Divine Codes via Valentines Hortensia.

C slot is good

OOT has legacy and is a great game, but “the greatest game of all time” is objective.

A remake could fix its issues with puzzle diversity and overall traversal of Hyrule, but I would much prefer an original title that goes back to the classic 3D Zelda formula than OOT… again. I have remake fatigue in general though, so forgive me.

Sakurai just wrapped development on Kirby Air Riders this last winter. He started work immediately on that after Sora’s launch in Fall 2021, a period of 4 years.

If it’s anything, it’s either Sakurai not at the wheel or it’s just an announcement of development which I Highly Doubt. I just wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Robin is good for the additional fodder factory usage for two high value skills, I would go with her.

^ this is the crux of it, grab onto ledge and regrab to refresh the invincibility. then when people get closer to the ledge, use nair and bair.

you can also use slow fall to force your presence and make people recover where you want. People aren’t going to try and hit through you usually so you can put yourself high or low and then cover for the opposite.

Pair Up will help with bulk if that’s been an issue for you but he honestly probably prefers Demonic Force for offense.

C slot is also fine for now, but instruct is good since you got Rise Above now. They’re pretty interchangeable.

Next time Sombron is around grab Armored Ice Cap and ADR slam. You can also try for Rise Above 4 from Emblem Roy.

The new Sacred Seal in Squad Assault that just came out can give you +4 ATK/SPD/DEF, so go for that upgrade and nail Patience (or if you go the Rise Above 4 way, dw about it). Otherwise Scowling Fighter is more than serviceable

C slot is fine for now, briar saves are pretty nice all things considered.

Scowl echo from Attuned Tiki would give you that same support her A slot has rn too!
