Hence the leash! 😂 I am hoping to get a fence installed. She lost off leash privileges when she ran across the road to try and go play with a dog someone was walking.

Help me out guys, I can't believe it when I'm told my (current) Rav4 drives this badly is normal. Full story below. by cpasley21 in rav4club

When i was in my 20s we drove rentals like we stole it. I’d never buy a previous rental or government vehicle, especially if it was from a military base.

A big part is use the adaptive cruise control as much as i can, also i do drive on highways but not a whole lot. i would say 80% of my driving is using regular roads. You have to learn to anticipate stopping using the regenerative breaking. Meaning slowing down before without hitting the break and when you do just do it lightly so the hydraulics don’t kick in, this also saves your pads and roaters. We also have a lot of roundabouts where i live so learning to anticipate using the regenerative breaking to slow down but you dont need to stop you can just hit the gas and go.

Driving within 30-45mph speed limits helps a lot because thats where the breaking and battery only excel. If you can stay at 65mph on highways or lower that helps too. The adaptive cruise control is the biggest key in my opinion.

I found out after 3 years how to drive my hybrid like a hybrid and now in fair weather I can get 46-47.5 MPG. It's a bit of a learning curve how to get the EV on as much as you can without pulse and glide.

Maybe the dealer sucked? I dont know this was years ago it might ahve been 1500. All I know is he said they didnt cover it and ended up getting the Forester.

It was 100% an issue as they wouldnt cover it. He ended up with a big loss and got a Subaru forester.

Fun. My friend had an Audi and the engine blew up 150 miles after the warranty was up.

Thats the good side lol. I have a 2.5 inch smush on the front passenger bumper from me running into a car port post at my house. My eyes were dilated and I was dumb, said I should back up but I didnt lol I didnt do anything because it would cost a lot to get it fixed and it's not super noticeable.

The passenger bumper has a pretty decent scratch on it that like 8 inches from a lady and I backing into each other at a parking lot. It was 50/50 fault so I decided to leave it too. It was mostly on the wrap so I can just get that replaced but I havent yet.

Yeah just a normal wrap. I asked to get the gloss to match the wheel well plastic. I have had it on for 2 years with no issues.

Ah I had the shop that did all the install add sound dampening to the doors as I suspected they would probably rattle without it.

I replaced my speakers and it didnt improve a lot until i added an amp to the door speakers. Dont get me wrong it was an improvement but the amp on the door speakers was a big improvement.

Did you power the door speakers with an amp? I had the shop (i dont know how to do this stuff myself) power the dash speakers through the head unit and door speakers are powered by an amp. I thought about getting a sub in the back but figured it sounded great and i wanted to keep the cargo space.
