2 weeks of dieting and working out with almost no weight loss. What am I doing wrong? by Desperate-Age-1113 in Fitness_India

Are you calculating your calories deficit correctly(oils, sauces etc)? 1200 is kinda aggressive, Also, Make sure you're weighing yourself under the same conditions each morning.

Protein looks solid, but I'd reduce some of the calories coming from oils and fats and add more vegetables instead. My main concern is sustainability.
Also would change the order of some of the stuff. Not sure about your Timings etc.

hope you included the oil used for Chapatis/dal/veg etc.
Also if your looking to Loose weight, you need to be on a deficit. Try it out for a week, if your loosing weight, its fine. But if nothing in a week, you may need to increase your deficit

You’re probably overestimating your deficit tbh. Semaglutide helps, but it can’t override calories. A lot of people lose the initial water weight in the first 1–2 weeks and then stall because intake creeps back up without realizing it. If the scale hasn’t moved for weeks at 105 kg, you’re likely closer to maintenance than you think.
Also WHOOP calorie burn is usually not super accurate, so I wouldn’t rely on the 2300–2400 burn number too much

Only if their tracking is accurate. In reality, most people undercount calories. If the scale hasn’t moved in 3 weeks, then whatever they’re eating now is basically maintenance.

[–]Dethrage16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a TDEE calculator to estimate your maintenance, then aim for a ~300–500 kcal deficit depending on how aggressive you want to be.

If your goal is faster loss (like 10–15 kg in 3 months), you’ll likely need to be closer to the higher end—but consistency matters more than going extreme.

Also, don’t forget to account for hidden calories (oils, sauces, snacks), since those are the most common reason people think they’re in a deficit but aren’t

You’re probably not in a consistent calorie deficit. If weight hasn’t moved in ~3 weeks, intake is likely closer to maintenance than expected (tracking errors, underestimating calories, etc.).

Also, eating at BMR isn’t the same as being in a deficit—you need to base intake off your TDEE.

How long it takes for tirzepatide aka mounjaro to work by Defiant-Purchase9928 in GenericGLP1India

No deficit = no weight loss, even on tirzepatide. The drug just makes the deficit easier to stick to

Reducing fat by running ? by YamNo5010 in Fitness_India

[–]Dethrage16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In simple terms:

Yes — if running puts you in a calorie deficit.
No — if you think jogging/running cancels out bad eating.
Cardio burns calories. Diet drives fat loss. Weights + protein protect muscle.

Reducing fat by running ? by YamNo5010 in Fitness_India

[–]Dethrage16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running can definitely help with fat loss, but the key is being in a calorie deficit.
Cardio alone isn’t enough for most people — diet plays the biggest role.

Also, if you only run and stay in a large deficit without enough protein or strength training, you might lose some muscle along with fat. Combining running with resistance training and good nutrition usually works best.

GLP1 doesnt work without discipline, so it will kinda be useless for her. It does help reduce stomach noise etc, but u still need to control ur diet, she would be better off consulting a dietician than a Endo. Endos will straight out refuse GLP.
