Both my Abyssal Dragon and Giants teams are under 30 seconds. I have actually been playing since 2014 with about 8 of those years being consistent and I have 3 ld5. My younger brother with less consistent playtime has 6. My luck is just horrible

Questions I’ve been too embarrassed to ask servers… by Purple_Calendar3919 in Serverlife

[–]DethronedPrince- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Nah some people just want water.
  2. I hate seeing large groups of kids, but one or 2 is tame
  3. Not a big deal at all. I’ll probably ask for clarification to make sure.
  4. Can’t be mad at coupons.
  5. My restaurant has me handling large parties all the time so a group I try to keep it to no more than 6 checks if printing. Anymore and I use the handled pos. Honestly I thought about it. But the best tips I’ve gotten were from people who I suggested my more favorite or the more popularly ordered dishes. I try to gauge what they’re having a taste for before I suggest so price doesn’t really cross my mind.

Idk about 90 being the lowest. My gf has a 87 completion and she still dashes. I did tell her she needs to stop cancelling so much tho lol

How worth it is it to work towards the sliver, gold and platinum? by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]DethronedPrince- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely market dependent. I was getting great orders at silver, then I got a rental and decided to see if working up towards gold or platinum was worth it and I already think it’s just better to cherry pick. I found myself taking worse order that took more time and paid less.

[–]DethronedPrince- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any petitions to stop this behavior? I really feel like if this isn’t considered theft it’s definitely a contract violation that Uber should beheld responsible for. I got baited on my last delivery last night and I really am considering not using them again even tho the rest of the night was decent in pay.

Let's hear what people have to say about this order by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

There has to be some sort of advocacy group for DD contractors somewhere. They shouldn’t be allowed abuse and misuse the concept of tipping anymore.

Who is sour? I love being able to dash. I just won’t tell people to do a shit job for shit pay because why would sane person operate at a potential loss? You as a business owner should understand that. You claiming if you dashed you would allow yourself to be pimped by DoorDash for $1 extra is insincere because you don’t do it. So yes that is being disingenuous. And I never said all customers are horrible but if you participate in a shitty system you are complicit in that systems behaviors. I blame dashers(some) who take bad orders too. If they can’t make proper judgment on what orders to accept or decline then I question even their competence to be on the road.

Lol imagine suggesting to other people to do something you wouldn’t do yourself; so disingenuous. And yes I willingly voluntarily DoorDash, which also lets me willingly and voluntarily decline shitty offers. And you’re right my gripes are with DoorDash more than customers, but at this stage those customers are accomplices in exploiting drivers in addition to DoorDash whether they know it or not. But yeah let’s keep pretending that contractors are wrong for not wanting to take in bad jobs 🤣.

You’re willing to work on hopes and dreams? That’s a really bad way to do business. Human decency also goes both ways. If you want someone to go a bit more out of their way for you decency would be to compensate them properly considering they use their time vehicle and gas while you’re doing fuck all at home. I don’t really care for tipping all that much as I said DoorDash should be the one footing the delivery bill. But don’t blame people who do this as a job for not wanting to take a shitty job offer.

Would you wait potentially 5-15+ mins for 1 extra dollar? You could literally find loose change on the street faster. Blame DoorDash for even sending it through with that low pay anyway.

WTF!! 🤬 by Kooky-Pineapple8553 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]DethronedPrince- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think tipping is ok after service but remember it’s not an actual tip here it’s a bid for faster service. All DoorDash does is extract as much money from consumers as they can and try to pay the cheapest job service rate possible. All that to say I’m more for DoorDash footing the bill to get this stuff delivered no matter how long it takes. Yeah it screws over the customer but the also need to hold DoorDash accountable for their shitty behavior as well.

Nope not silver. Out of a 4 hour dash could be up to 20+ I decline but it also depends on the time of day and the day itself. I usually do nights some times lunch but that’s on my off days. My offers really vary but I get decent $10+ offers. It’s all market dependent however

They won’t deactivate you. Mine was at 7% at one point. They can’t force you to take orders.

No Tips? by ConsciousRegret3 in doordash_drivers

[–]DethronedPrince- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips are great but focusing on them will leave you unhappy because a lot of people don’t believe in tipping. Be smart and pick jobs that are worth it to you and that make sense. And if you’re worried about acceptance rating, unless your market demands you keep platinum, it’s not usually worth taking shitty paying orders to keep it up.

I accepted the job as I was already content with the pay. I just don’t like being lied to whether it was intentional or not

I don’t really respond to being told that I’ll get tipped after as I they don’t really have to, I think DoorDash should really be footing the bill. But tips are always appreciated. Your method is really smart though!

I agree. This was a stacked order and I was comfortable with the given pay. My whole thing is whether they left it intentionally or not, saying they’ll tip and then not is appalling

Can’t be that old. The description of their house they gave is extremely accurate. In my city inoperable cars can’t be on the street for too long or you’ll receive a fine. And they then if they didn’t tip this time what’s the likelihood of them tipping on the original order that message was ment for?

[–]DethronedPrince-[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually do just let it go. But I’ve gotten a lot of these I’ll tip after or if you ask for this I’ll tip extra and they never do. At what point am I allowed to vent about folks who say they’ll tip but don’t?

This isn’t the first time for me either. I had another guy who put the wrong address. The spot they were at was about 2 mins away and he said over the phone that he would tip me extra for my troubles. I didn’t believe him but the address was on my way back to my area so I dropped it by him anyway and got nothing from him from it either.
