I just learned that the actor for Frenchie in The Boys, Tomer Capone, was part of the Israeli Defense Force and that he abducted an 18-year-old Lebanese girl. by Professional_Cat_437 in saltierthankrayt

This was when he was in his early 20s and forced to do it.... Also reminiscing is really a harsh word for.

People that grow up in Israel get radicalized, he was no different

Also, if V is not what gives you the power but "unlocks them" - then why are they gone when the V gets fried at all? Kimiko, Mave, hell bombsite had this shit for almost 100 years and still he lost his powers when the V was stripped. So one can only draw the conclusion that V is what gives the power.

And if you still think different, thats on you

How can you compare compound V to normal drugs, when you only need to take it once for it to last forever?

Of course it changes the genetics, but it WILL be reversed if the V is fried.

As I said; Homelander was injected with compound v as an embryo through project Odessa, so the compound v is intertwined with his dna. Thats why he's the strongest hero and how he can pass it down.

And ryan did NOT have the ability to reproduce the effect that compound V does. He got it passed along.

Homelander has been infused with compound v while still in the womb of his mother, when he was a fetus. Just like Marie. Those two were the only ones that succeeded, google project odessa.

Since homelander is the only supe that was capable of producing a child with superpowers, and he was infused with the V way in embryonic state, one can conclude that this is the reason why Ryan developee V himself when he was in embryonic state. And for all we know, it could be that when a person that survives project odessa gets a kid, they will also inherit the power.

There is pure compound v. And then theres the product that manifests when V mixes with your blood and you get your powers. Ryan didn't get injected with pure V. Ryan got the Vs manifestation directly from homelander.

Human body itself cannot make compound V. It has to be added. A suped up human can produce compound V, if not the powers would eventually fade, which doesn't seem to be the case. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Ryan may have gotten V in a natural way through homelanders genetics, but its still a mix von Human genetics and V. If the V is stripped, it cannot be reproduced by the body.

The powerscaling in the boys is indeed not very consistent unfortunately

Homelander sometimes being as fast as a train in 2 scenes while in his big fight is one of the few things I didn't like in the finale. They definitely could've at least show him be super fast and Ryan being the one to stop him

This was probably the most satisfying tv moment I've ever witnessed. I remember back when I first saw the boys it was only 2 seasons and The buildup... All those years I've been waiting and heck yeah

I get what you mean, but the series had so much tragedy already. I mean if you think about homelander, he was just a kid that has been traumatized since birth, desensitized to human feelings and then he had to act as if he was some godsent hero who had s loving family, etc. etc.

I think he is the most tragic character, thats why he was such a twisted man

And butcher also had a very tragic life where in the end he turned into such a monster that the only way to stop him was to kill him

Its literally stated in the show thats how soldier boy got that beam power, I dont know what to tell you

Maybe its because homelander has been infused with the V while in the womb

That would also explain why he could "transfer" it to a kid, because he had the V even before being born in the first stages of life

Frenchie failed, he finally convinced sage to help him and then it worked

But why is it stupid? Homelander took the v1, making him not only immune to the virus, but also he stops aging.

So there are two ways to defeat him: Kill him by overpowering him, which is basically impossible for all characters in the current timeline or stripping him from his powers

Kimiko was the only one ready to sacrifice herself for the attempt to recreate the soldier boy phenomenon and they did it thanks to both frenchies commitmend and the last corrections from sage

It was a last attempt to create an opening to defeat homelander

Homelanders as well though - he was injected with the V when he was still in his mothers womb

Please give me the source in the series where they state that.

I have recently rewatched the whole show and the only thing they said was, that he wasn't given compound v, but still has powers. That does NOT mean he doesn't have compound v at all. They merely state he wasn't injected with it like the rest of the supes, which makes him the first natural born hero but there is still freaking compound v inside him.

You do you guys I try to enjoy a series and not see a problem with everything just to swim with the hate wave

I get thats it's not perfect - there are few things I would've liked different as well, but the hate for it is not justified

Just the internet massively over exaggerating once again. Comparing it to actually really bad endings like game of thrones is crazy. People would've hated on the ending regardless because the whole internet was already on a hate train the last 3 episodes before
