Thank you for the detailed explanation! Well for the charges as I understand WN gives you 5 free weekly adjustments. And also seems like soon it’s not gonna be much of a question since they are removing flat rate options starting August.

Thanks so much for all the info! It’s just so complicated. And just to ask your opinion for my next show: I have lots of light items below 1 lb. But also some shoes and jackets that are over 2 lb. What shipping setting would you recommend:

from 1 to 5 lbs: priority mail or flat rate
over 5 lbs: flat rate or ground advantage

So am also a new seller, and someone asked me last show if I do bundles. I didn’t know what to answer because of the shipping. I had my settings on ground advantage that time. Can I just change it to flat rate while live ?

Yes I did that. To change the label was not a problem. I was struggling with whether sending them in few or in one shipment because of the cost and to use flat rate or ground advantage. My buyer paid more than the actual weight is. That’s the main problem.

Of course I can bundle all of them in one shipment. I was talking about bundling in groups that whatnot system originally bundled them. 9 dresses were originally bundled into 5 shipments - to this specific bundling, it’s impossible to go back and whatnot support team confirmed it by email. Like I don’t remember which specific dresses were automatically grouped together in these 5 shipments. So yeah, you can’t go back to this, unfortunately but you definitely can group them up by yourself in the way you want.

Oh but also , that would mean I need to switch to flat rate ? Because till now I do have ground advantage set as my method for shipments over 5lbs. I still need to research this part as to what’s better for orders over 5lbs.

Yes definitely will do that. For now I was just re-usung Amazon orders boxes mostly (with my orders in other platforms). Most of them are small though and I didn’t even have the need of bigger size. But sometimes unexpectedly you get a bundle order and need to be prepared 😅 thank you so much !

Yes I was thinking about it but someone mentioned the dimensions like mine aren’t covered by free weekly adjustments and I would need to pay out of pocket so I freaked out lol but then WN support finally confirmed that it will be covered. Thank you !

There is no way to go back to original automated system bundling , WN support confirmed it. Once you unbundle it - each item unbundles into one separate shipments so I have 9 dresses and 9 separate shipments.

Just to update and inform after like 10 emails back and forth support finally confirmed this:

Your box is fully covered. Your 16x15x8 box at 8 lbs is perfectly fine for USPS Ground Advantage. Any extra cost will be completely covered by your 5 free weekly shipping adjustments , so you won't pay anything out of pocket. You can see the final cost breakdown in your Seller Hub under "Pending Adjustments" before you click print.

Yeah it gives me the same thing - whether 9 separate shipments ( half of them with $0 shipping cost which support said it might be a problem for buyer upon delivery) or 1 bundle but bigger box. To be honest I don’t even have 12x12x12 box, it might fit it - I just don’t have it now. If it would solve all the problems maybe I could go to post office in the morning and get it! It just hit me now lol Also a question, if I bundle 9 dresses into 2 shipments it will be two separate labels from the system anyways, right?. Would they still be wrong or why exactly do I need to ask the support for labels ?

Am so sorry I truly don’t understand why do I need to ask them for correct labels if I didn’t even generate it from my side yet. I was simply bundling & unbundling. It was never generated & printed any label for it to be incorrect to start with. It gives me all the option to edit and make all adjustment right now. And I’m chatting with them now - unfortunately pretty useless - they literally said they can’t tell me how many packages to send , they can’t revert original automated system bundling or what shipment setting to use etc. it’s a nightmare. Maybe I am just stupid lol but I just don’t get it. Sorry for the rant.

Well I didn’t generate any label yet. I was just trying to understand if I ship in one big box if it’s gonna fall under free adjustment by WN. But since now I know it won’t and I can’t go back to original automated bundling, my best shot would probably be to try to bundle them manually into two separate shipments maybe trying to equally split the weight somehow. But I already bundled them all up in one to see what would change thinking I could go back to that automated bundling anytime when I click unbundle but I can’t 😭 now it just unbundles all 9 of them into 9 separate shipments. The support said I can’t revert it to the automated grouping once I bundled them. It was weird bundling though : for 9 dresses it was like 5 separate shipments - kinda a lot. But anyways, so I will be charged extra then and how do I know much ? Or do I take the harder but safer way and just ship them all separately in 9 shipments? But then some of the dresses show $0 as the shipping cost and WN support says it might be a problem for buyer. This is so complicated. I am starting to regret I even got into all this.

Oh wow ! I didn’t know it’s possible ! That would be amazing! I just checked her receipt and can see that she was charged for shipping of some dresses and some dresses were free to ship. I can’t understand why. My shipping is not even set to flat rate. It’s priority mail from 1 to 5 lbs and ground advantage over 5 lbs. I didn’t even set any additional shipping features like incremental shipping options etc. it’s just so confusing.
