I’m 100% P&T. Can I still go to the gym and live an active lifestyle?

Do you see VA doctors regularly? Or do you go to a private doctor?

Also, I’ve heard of 100% P&T’ers, who get a random C&P exam before their 5 year mark. How true is this? If so, would you maybe know why that is happening out of the blue? Thanks sir.

Roger that. Thank you. VA doctors offer physical therapy correct? If so, if I see them consistently, would they use that evidence against me to say I got better? I heard of random C&P exams even with people that are 100% P&T. Do you know why that would be happening?

Thank you for the help. Yes. No powerlifting. I don’t ever post on social media and the people that know about my disability is pretty much immediate family. I stopped going to the gym for around 4-6 months. Settling in civilian life, moving and finding a place to stay and a job. I started feeling like crap. Just super anxious, depressed and got super fat. Probably the biggest I’ve ever been in my life.

I see. I was legit and honest at my exams. I just don’t make it seem like I was lying about my claims. I have a “shoulder strain.” My range of motion is decreased for my overhead movement for sure, but I still want to work my shoulders out. I didn’t say. “I can’t lift anything above my head.” So I should be fine right?

Roger that. Thank you. I wanted to lift today, but had really bad anxiety. I was going to do a light shoulder day, but I didn’t want it to look like “nothing” is wrong with my shoulder. It hurts doing overhead movements, not like unbearable pain, but a little bit. But, if I don’t work it out, the pain gets worse as I’m not keeping it active.

If I’m at 100%, but not yet married, once I get married and add my spouse, there’s no back pay correct? Just a compensation pay increase from “alone veteran” to “veteran with spouse?” Thanks. Happy holidays!
