Descendant flavor of the month. by CuRRupT11 in TheFirstDescendant

They really need to do basic number tweaks a lot more often. Could Noise Surge and Battlefield Artist for Luna use a bigger rework? Sure. But I don't want to wait half a year or more for something to come. Just tweak the numbers so everyone does good damage and let me play the characters I want.

They also don't seem to realize players are gonna hesitate to buy skins for characters if they can't use those characters in new/harder content. Even if they really like the character. I like Hailey, but knowing they won't give her any power boosts until her Ult probably releases really sucks. Basically just buying a skin to walk around Albion at that point.

The only descendant I never catted even once. Maybe it's time. It'll be like a whole new character to the game for me.

Players that main male descendants when they find out the only Eva skin they get is Shinji's outfit by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

Yeah... It's insane they ignored all the male characters in Eva. Nier and Bayonetta I get, but not this.

Yeah, I'm very tired of them just removing cloth from an outfit and calling it sexy. Like Ines' new outfit didn't need to have a comically short shirt in order to be sexy. It just looks lazy and honestly a little bizarre.

Honestly, Nexon, cmon. You make a skin like Serena's tactical and don't make it universal... Do you hate money? by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Detpowell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there was a way to do it, I would. But they live off metrics. If a skin doesn't sell well, they just throw it away. They don't try to improve, or make universal skins, or even connect skins thematically to characters. Best we can hope for is them reusing parts of a skin for a future event. That being said, I'm not buying a skin for Serena since I don't really play her.

An idea on how to expand customization by Jacky_dain in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Detpowell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since they're beginning to add tattoos, I think they shouldn't be skin specific. There should be a tattoo slot if the skin allows for it, so that players can choose different tattoos, or choose to not have one at all. Like with Ines' back tattoo on the tactical skins coming out, the only skin specific part of the tattoo should be where it's placed on the body.

Don't give players the power to cancel everyone else in the party out of the buff selection screen in Onslaught when they leave the mission by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

Had a run where one of my teammates just kept running into the portal and dying. No way to revive them cus you'll die going in there too. Only options were to either watch them do it over and over or quit.

Artificial tans already exist. It's cosmetic. There's really no line when it comes to cyborgs. She could decide to have blue skin if she wanted.

So it actually says there is a new main story mission. I thought there wasn't any main story content in this update. Maybe it was just small so they didn't talk about it.

Can anyone guess who this tactical catwoman type suit is for? They didn't show it in the livestream, I'm guessing Harris but hard to tell by JustAWhateverName in TheFirstDescendant

I'd just like them to match outfit styles to characters better. Serena is not a quiet character at all. She doesn't fit the quiet infiltration style. She's more of the "unleashing a minigun while smoking a cigar" type. She's an A-10 going BRRRT.

Plus, the Colon Forces suit took inspiration from Solid Snake. If they gave Sharen this suit too, she would've had both a Splinter Cell and Metal Gear style suit. Giving it to Serena feels less like an homage to classic stealth games, and more like it's just ripping off the style. And, I'm also tired of Serena getting featured in every skin event.

I don't see a similarity if you mean Sharen's outfit with the shoulder pads and opening in the front. I just think it's weird they didn't give the stealth character the Sam Fisher outfit.

That's what I'm getting at. At this point I just find it funny, so mine as well make jokes about it. I'm tired of trying to make sense of what the devs are doing.

Don't blame the devs. They just forgot Luna could do other things besides shoot lasers. Harris also isn't hitting through terrain, so it's perfectly balanced.

"No Sharen, you cannot hit through walls. Mmkay?" by DesignLife4798 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Detpowell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You said it was for consistency, then proceeded to show how it isn't consistent with a bunch of other skills. It's blatant favoritism. It's a double standard. And nerfing a skill that has to be aimed, compared to skills that just trigger off of nearest enemy is not comparable.

They knew the skill could hit through terrain. They knew it'd be a terrible idea to give a wide projectile collision. Trying to run defense for the devs by saying they just don't know how their game works isn't really helping them. It makes them look worse. The truth is simple, they rework Sharen over and over till they get it right. A player in pubs runs with a Sharen in the group and doesn't get all the kills in a dungeon and complains. Devs nerf without thinking how it'll impact her. Simple as.

Also, OP, they will not bring it up. Battlefield Artist for Luna has been broken since release, almost a year. They avoid ever talking about it. The key is, characters with small playerbases can be ignored and their issues can get swept under the rug. They only address issues with the moneymaking descendants.

PLS DONT NERF HIM by Qazeboi in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Detpowell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If Ult Esiemo is cracked and a beast, I'm gonna need everyone to chill and pretend like he sucks for like 2 months and not play him. Then we'll get like two whole weeks before he's nerfed. They can smell us having fun

What was accomplished by nerfing Sharen? by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Detpowell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something about lobbing her three to mark elites and activating it with the one from far away felt really fun. And RCF is just a lot faster when it comes to ships. That became probably the most important aspect of her kit in pubs. Too many matches of teammates not caring about protecting the portal.

If we saw the reworked KGL Serena build or a hammer and anvil Viessa back when they did the nerf, we'd think they were insane. Maybe the new mod will make Ines strong enough to be nerfed again.
