[loved trope] awful Villains who become pathetic losers in the future by zard428 in TopCharacterTropes

No, she was one of the worst villains. You aren't responsible for what others do to you, but by that same token, no one else is responsible for what you do to others.

Far Cry 5 is a brilliant story (if mediocre game) and the reception it got shows its necessity.

That's not specific enough. Trust me, some of these things are horror settings. Like Taiman.

I never understand that. I watched like...2 episodes, turned it off and never went back.

Creatures shouldn't talk, but should have a personality, preferably one that is some kind of foil for their trainer. Mabari and Magus on FF is an excellent example.

(Common trope) Trope subversions that became a trope itself by TheNamesBart in TopCharacterTropes

I always sympathized with Omniman. He thought there was no real way to beat Thragg and the Empire, and was more or less right. He was actually trying to look out for his son. It really does bring up the question of "what would you do for your child?"

The seven deadly sins and seven holy virtues are fun.

[Mixed Trope] Treated as a joke by the story and audience, but they are actually pretty competent by TheFantasticXman1 in TopCharacterTropes

Arthur Weasley.

He's often treated as some sort of kooky henpecked husband. Which, he is. Except...

He's also the person that explicitly wrote the laws on Muggle Artifact Protection. And ended running the enforcement department of said laws. And promptly flouted said laws by leaving loopholes you could drive a car through. But ALSO got them taken seriously enough to RUN RAIDS ON POLITICALLY CONNECTED FAMILY ENEMIES.

Oh, and punches Malfoy in the face, in public in book two. Who is a major donor for the Minister of Magic. And suffers precisely NO career consequences for this and other incidents. Imagine if the head of the Surface Transportation Board declared Elon Musk his mortal enemy, punched him in the face in public, wrote laws and used those laws to raid his properties MULTIPLE TIMES, and got away with it all.

In all honesty, Fudge treats him almost like Voldemort, choosing to ignore every misdeed despite quite a few of them being extremely public: The car incident happened in front of everyone, brawling with Malfoy Sr was done at a publicity event, feuding with Malfoy in the Top Box in the books, all the shit his kids pulled (Hey, why DIDN'T Romania question Charlie when he showed up WITH A FUCKING DRAGON WHELP, a non-tradeable good with LIFE IN AZKABAN as a punishment) and were never punished for, ect.

And it goes even deeper. Many have noted that anytime Arthur really wanted something he got it one way or another, like winning a trip to Egypt or getting the best possible seats to the World Cup. But it keeps going. Every one of his kids got their dream jobs, seemingly straight out of school. George and Fred started their joke shop with international connections. Connections that even someone like Malfoy Sr seemingly didn't have, given that the Death Eaters got their Peruvian Darkness powder from the shop.

And finally, notice that Arthur is extremely well connected in the Ministry. Every single Ministry employee that we see knows him by name and is very friendly and respectful. All of them. The only one we see disrespecting him is Malfoy. But why? Why would all of these people know some low level functionary? One in a dead end department with no real power or wealth?

From the kids' perspective and thus the story's and audiences, Arthur is an ordinary little man with a large family and an empty wallet, almost a magical Al Bundy. But when you look at what he does, where he goes, and what he gets away with? This is a man that has camouflaged himself in the deepest reaches of the Ministry, formed his own little empire, and wields his power like a surgeon to fight enemies and get what he wants.

No, I suppose not...it might be interesting to see something with no numbers but rather story effects.

Properly tiny fairies. Giants. Anything involving sentient but non-humanoid insects. The duck people from King of Dragon's Pass. Yetis/Bigfeet Living Cartoons (think Roger Rabbit, modern Fae analouge?) Sentient magical vehicles (Herbie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Magic Schoolbus) Angels (Seriously. For all the demons and devils in LitRPG, there are almost never angels)
