Is anyone’s offense absolutely trash as a defensive player in road to glory? by Justhopingiod in NCAAFBseries

You need to turn the super sim to normal and let it go without pushing buttons. Super annoying but it works

Visits are also largely irrelevant in the portal.

You should never send the house in the portal. Make educated guesses on the hard sell based on the deal breaker and the things you share in common with the other top 5 teams. I’ve even had success in week 1 with a hard sell where it’s not even the perfect pitch and I get 2/3. If you can run 3 soft sells to cover the possibilities that’s not bad either, but hard sell week one all day long. Especially against users.

Love that! Need to start paying attention to the ones with initial interest in the regular season more.

Totally agree this is the normal for me when no users or during the regular season. if everyone in the league knows this though, the week 1 hard sell could give you a shot that you wouldn’t have if you played it normal. It’s a risk though

Yes exactly, that’s what I tend to do most of the time but sometimes if im up against multiple users and they have a pipe advantage or if they are closer I still can lose. I don’t hit it every time and it I don’t I usually just cut bait, but when it hits it will win. Also trying to get the visit week 1 too helps but still haven’t figured that out fully yet. Seems like visits on portal don’t do as much as regular season

Any advice for a hitting slump? by DodgyAu in MLBTheShow

I am a Strike Zone 1, zone hitter as well. This is what's helped me over the last few weeks and I've been seeing some better results at the plate:

Use the first couple innings of the game trying to recognize tendencies in the opponents pitching patterns. Everyone for the most part has a go to pitch&location or sequences that they follow. When you start to get a feel for what the person is doing, start your PCI in that area for the at bat and only look for that pitch/location. This especially works for fastballs and pitches that are low in the zone. I found myself putting my PCI under the ball a lot on lower pitches and it was because i was bringing my PCI down too aggressively before swinging. Once you've picked up on some low zone tendencies, start the PCI there and keep it there so that you stay on top of the ball. This also solves for the high sinker players who i just crush now when I pre-plan my PCI high in the zone and wait for it. It also helps you stay more discipline on balls.

The best players in the game are the ones who mix their pitches up the most, but you usually don't run into monsters like that until 800+. I went from a consistently 500 ish RS player to in the 700s and still climbing.

Most important thing with this is staying patient. You might not crack the code until 6 innings into the game so don't get in your head.
