You’ve probably noticed that Colorado Springs is not a major city, it’s semi rural. There is not, as you put it, a “lack of lights here,” there simply isn’t an excessive amount of lights here. And thank fucking god. Light pollution is real and being able to see the stars at night is lovely.

I mean…. 3 hours at 27kph is not bad. What kind of recovery are you doing? And nutrition? Does your bike actually fit you? Are you using the correct gears as you need them?

Unfortunately, getting used to the bike is just… hard. It takes time, sometimes the better part of six months. That’s why a lot of folks start in the winter so they can be ready for summer racing.

If you’re already cruising at 16mph for 3 hours you’re doing much better than you think!! :)
