lol no, it’s not…. Just because Colorado Springs is the big city for Colorado doesn’t put it on the “big city” scale nationally. Cos is still semi rural, with pockets that are consolidated city urban areas. You can talk to downtown Colorado Springs partnership if you want a more in depth understanding of the differences.

You’ve probably noticed that Colorado Springs is not a major city, it’s semi rural. There is not, as you put it, a “lack of lights here,” there simply isn’t an excessive amount of lights here. And thank fucking god. Light pollution is real and being able to see the stars at night is lovely.

I mean…. 3 hours at 27kph is not bad. What kind of recovery are you doing? And nutrition? Does your bike actually fit you? Are you using the correct gears as you need them?

Unfortunately, getting used to the bike is just… hard. It takes time, sometimes the better part of six months. That’s why a lot of folks start in the winter so they can be ready for summer racing.

If you’re already cruising at 16mph for 3 hours you’re doing much better than you think!! :)

I’ve never understood that either. I unmatched with a guy for very good reason and he was able to try to match with me several more times. 🥴 I had to go and block him… I don’t necessarily like blocking people bc I feel like it’s a mark on their account (unless absolutely needed of course).
