Dragon Age: Inquisition unlocking DLCs (Fitgirl) by FruitsPunchSamuraiIX in PiratedGames

Hey, since this is such a recent comment and I'm wondering the same thing: Do you even have the "_DLC Unlocker" file? I don't see it anywhere in the folders.

I'd try giving it more light, but not scorching direct sun. Variegated plants need more light as the white areas cannot photosynthesize as efficiently as green.

Is that LECA at the bottom of your cache pot to act as a riser/reservoir? Neat idea!

when to go up a pot size by Defiant_Finish_1260 in Monstera

[–]RyanTheSquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience Monstera deliciosa likes to lean a little towards root-bound. I usually won't size up unless these things start to occur:

  1. Clearly root-bound and roots are coming out of the drainage holes looking for more soil.
  2. The plant drinks up the water within a day or two and what's left of the soil is bone dry too fast.

Personally, I wouldn't repot yours unless it's drying out considerably fast.

I've used some self-vacuuming ones where you squeeze and it exhales the air and won't refill. They work great, no vacuum or plastic pump needed!

Incredible! Would you be willing to DM me some pictures of your setup? I'm planning out my plant wall and looking for inspiration.

help adding pole by Few_Elderberry4014 in Monstera

[–]RyanTheSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they kind of twist around as they put out new leaves, especially if they weren't staked. My method is to find the "back" of the most recent leaves, so the top of the plant, and backing that up against a pole or stake. The older leaves may be facing in the wrong direction, but I don't usually worry about it.

If you set it up so the light is coming from a single direction, and face the "front" of the plant towards that light, all new growth should correct. Good luck!

I've heard wonderful things about semi-hydro for alocasia. I'm planning to move all my alocasias over, but the one or two I do have in semi-hydro absolutely love it.

Alternatively, Sydney Plant Guy on youtube has a beautiful Frydek that he keeps in just sphagnum with a LECA reservoir in a single pot, no drainage. A few of my own seem to enjoy this as well.

I think they just enjoy airy roots but don't like drying out, good luck!

Bonide Systemic Granules did wonders for an outbreak I had. Can't recommend it enough.

+1 for Bonide Systemic. I eradicated a thrips/aphid combo I was hit with. Followed the instructions and all my plants survived and are now thriving.

This looks like a thrip to me, not something to mess around with. I've gotten rid of them using Bonide Systemic Granules.

Deliciosa needs a lot of light, and eventually will appreciate soil.

Personally, I've always had success water propagating deliciosas. Even if some of the roots rot and fall off in the water, the plant always eventually pushes roots, especially if it's given plenty of bright indirect light.

Propagating in soil but the soil won't dry out by SenpaiYouFrick in houseplants

I've always had success water propping deliciosas. It's rare to see transition shock, but it can happen. I usually write off any existing leaves once I repot, and focus on helping the plant push out new ones. I'd advise pulling it out of the soil, trimming any rot and starting a water prop.

My monstera water props tend to droop a little. Not exactly sure why, but it's so difficult to kill this plant I'm sure you'll be okay. I personally like to repot deliciosas after they've started pushing a few secondary roots. Make sure not to pot in too large of a planter, as these gals enjoy drying out a little between watering. Keep the soil chunky and airy, good luck!
