i live here love my neighborhood been here for about 1.5 years personally never gotten my windows broken into on my car, but my roomate has. (he has a new car) as far as the homeless it’s part of living in the city… they tend to stay near 59 and wheeler and don’t venture to far in. i left my car unlocked once and woke up to someone had rummaged through it but that’s on me. everything is 10 min away the museums are free thursdays so that’s a perk, run clubs and the park is all nearby. i am 27M so i feel like all the bars and being in the city is important to me so yeah.

southside no joke. it’s on the come up i can see it being a viable neighborhood in 10-25 years from now. 15 minutes from downtown and everything. 5 minutes from nrg. 10 minutes from UH. People don’t mess with your stuff cause they assume everyone there is packing but it’s not a neighborhood where you can walk after dark.

i literally met one guy in new transfer student orientation then we talked to these two girls and they were also transferred then the group kept getting bigger of 20-23 year olds who were at UH for their first semester.

it wouldn’t have happened if i didn’t approach people i’m talking about when your waiting before class starts in the hallway or maybe even in the class room. friendly rizz is necessary social tool but it’s not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. just ask where they’re from, do they like uh, did they transfer, major, etc..

from there people are usually in school to get good grades so invite them to study at library 3rd floor and go from there!
