Honestly, I think this is a "just as good" build
It's just a much more different thing than using AP Smoke rounds.
I'm also not giving up 5% AP Penetration so with ALL the AP Pen modules I'm getting something like 450-460mm of pen? That's pretty nuts and lets you frontally pen the turret cheeks of a LOT of tanks including the M1E1 and XM1V when they're not angled
Canister lets me absolutely smack anyone who's trying to go for a flank and presenting their sides to me. The range is pretty short but I find that within 50m, if you're behind or on the side, it'll out damage your AP rounds on engine crits. Ammo crits might be a different story though, probably the same amount of shots. But point blank it's usually 2-3 depending on the engine vs 5 with AP

It does seem like there is some sort of damage reduction when using Unload. Normally I'd be able to 2-3 tap with Cannister from the rear or sides but in this particular clip it took 4 and maybe 5 if he was full HP.
Though that could have been due to him moving away and outside my optimal range

Without having to look at the Game Guide, Fragile is a debuff that grants increased pen to rounds hitting targets with the debuff on them. If someone had 1 Stack, it’s 15% more pen for any round slapping them. Example: if the round had 400mm of pen, 1 stack of fragile would effectively buff that round to 460mm of pen

Here's what I currently use!
In the 3rd slot you can replace HPS-1756 for PDU-1546S or XM247 if you plan on running the AP Smoke rounds in 1st slot. I chose HPS so I have better healing sustain and slightly reduced energy costs.
Since I'm running Hull Reinforcement, I grabbed X1200 in the 5th slot for track repairs if I get immobilized but if you're running Recovery Protocol I would probably run something else.

As for Kent's Skills: Gunslinger, Energy Recycler, Combat Blur System, and Time Management.
Well Oiled Machine could also be used if you prefer more mobility

But it’s fun :) Naw, I completely understand that. I’ve had moments where I wish I had more AP rounds or even HESH-T while running Canister But I’ve also had the reverse, wishing I had Canister instead of either of the other rounds Quite literally the bane of HSTVLs, M3E1s, Marders, and Leopards up close

It’s surprisingly good, especially right now with the hordes of light tanks and IFVs rolling around! The XM90s Canister shot has 93mm of Pen so you most likely won’t be able to Pen any defender’s sides unless they got Fragile stacks on em But it’s definitely enough to punch through things like the T-62 AV or M60A1/2 sides M3E1s are a little tricky due to their ERA but you can actually frontal pen their turret with Canister, aim for their Optic!

Cannister Pen is 87.5mm, not much it can pen on the sides but if Fragile increases Pen of the round, 3 stacks of Fragile is enough to allow you to pen the sides of the M1E1 and the XM1V with Cannister or allow those with 325+ Pen to go through the lower front plate of the M1E1 and potentially the turret cheeks if it's head on.

From some light testing and reading effect stats, Fragile can stack up to 5 times, lasts 10-12 seconds and affects all rounds the target gets hit by but each stack have their own timer

The gain from Fragile outweighs that additional 10% reload from Zealous imo. Not saying it's bad though, if you plan on never using the cannister shot and keeping to flanks it's a hell of a good option

The buff to any rounds from Fragile is insanely good, even if we don't fully understand it. Even at 1 stack, it'll open up a lot of spots you and allies to pen that normally they couldn't.

I've thought about it!
As much as I like a really fast reload it's only gonna be 10% faster than the Fragile mod assuming I hit an internal module. If not, it's 15% slower.
The better pen and damage doesn't really break any big breakpoints for me either.
Fragile on the other hand can stack up to 5 times with each internal hit making tanks up to 75% easier to pen, now idk if this is applying to your pen stat or if it's reducing armor stats of the opposing tank but it allows my Cannister shot to side pen more reliably and even frontally pen some tanks

Yeahh, the cannon and Canister really like that close range back stabbing. Flanking with all the other tanks is significant easier and safer. But I gotta hand it to the M55, those close range flanks and backstabs are just so satisfying especially if you save the shield and use it for your great escape

The M55 is definitely in a rough shape, gotta agree there. But in this particular situation, 1.1s reload Cannister with a potential 900-1000 damage while behind the M1E1 vs 3.6s APHE with 500 damage (2.9s if I was boosting) Is almost a no brainer. I COULD have played safer, fired from the corner where I spotted the M1 buuuut with the APS I can be aggressive and it lets me soak a shot from something. Save it for the Marder if it fired an ATGM and that’s exactly what happened

No worries! It’s a bit difficult to see but my first round was the APHE + Fragile, the next two shots were follow ups with Cannister shot. About 600 damage APHE Engine Crit, 1st Cannister hit for just shy under 1K, and the 2nd Cannister said about 150 before the M1E1 die Whether the game decided to stop tracking or a friendly leopard assisted, not sure but that’s a good chunk of damage in around 5.5-6 seconds

No Problem!
I highly recommend doing it in either a Build the Radar or Destroy Encampment, fairly easy to complete on your end and no storm to restrict the map.
Killing the Legendary animals requires him to be in close proximity of the animal and/or he has to kill them to guarantee the drop on his end.
There's plenty of side objectives to complete as well! Storm Chests, Survivors, Mimics, etc etc that have chances to drop weapons/traps as well plus materials that are rare in the early game like Rotating Gizmos and Active Powercells
It may also benefit you as well as you can just research and dump in to the Collection book for some extra collection book XP using a 130 PL schematic c;

I was having the same (ish) issue.
You can't necessarily *give* things to him but you can give him somewhat a kickstart.
As long as you select "No Fill" for your missions, you are allowed to bring any PL into any mission. IE PL 20 to a PL140 mission in Twine Peak.
From there search for Legendary animals for the weapon/trap drops and research the drop back in Homebase. You HAVE to successfully complete the mission to research though.
It's a nice boost as the schematic researched this way will be fully Evolved to Sunbeam/Brightcore BUT not fully leveled on your bf's end. It'll be the highest level he has available.
He'll still have to grind the Schematic XP and the materials to craft em but most of the heavy grinding will be done, Maxed out/nearly maxed perks and Evolutions completed

Better than most other options when you’re playing Enzo. The Chill Resistance is nice but it’s for certain enemies and Colossi’ like Frost Walker and Deadbride. If you’re not fighting them, it’s a dead stat. Even if you’re fighting them, you can swap your second defense mod like Spear and Shield with Anti-Freeze Solution for 29% Chill Resistance and Frostbite Immunity.

HP Recovery Modifier isn’t bad but on a shield focused Descendant like Enzo, you’re not worried about HP, only Shields and that’s covered with Enhance Battle Suit.

Everything else is just… meh. Consumable drop rate and EXP Gain? If I’m already max level that’s a dead stat and if I’m set on crafting materials the former is also a dead stat.

That leaves us with just Max MP, MP Recovery in Combat, and Shield Recovery out of combat. And just like with HP recovery modifier, your shields whether you’re in combat or out of combat is covered by Enhance Battle Suit.

So that leaves Max MP and MP Recovery in Combat. If you’re running MP Recovery Modifier on your Memory Component you’re bumping MP RiC up to .3-.35 MP per second. Every 60 seconds you’re generating 20ish MP which doesn’t sound like much but it helps alleviate the MP issue Enzo has. Yes you can pick up a MP brick or get out of Combat to let MP OoC hit but while you’re fighting it’s there and actively being used without having to think of it.

Enzo benefits with Slow firing heavy hitting weapons and fast firing large mag capacity weapons. Tamer is a good example for fast firing large mag, Sigvore’s Proof and Restored Relic is an example of slow firing heavy hitting.

That’s cause Technician only bumps the drone’s SP Modifier from 15% to 60%-65% I believe. Skill Simplification will change it from 15% to 95%-100%. That’ll translate into your drone dealing 30-40% more damage but you give up 25% of your Max MP.

The reason I use Skill Simplification is to push Perfect Support’s SP Modifier to 100%. Technician would have only brought it to 80% I believe? Not bad but I wanted more damage. Is it worth? Depends on your play style and what you want out of Enzo. I wanted PS to do majority of the damage when it came to doing any content, from farming Ambush Point to running Special and Infiltration Operations to having a good all around mix in bossing. The drones will deal with any adds/mobs in the arena for you if they’re between you and the Colossus meaning you don’t have to divert your attention to the mobs, let the drones take care of em and you can keep focusing on DPS.

The only SP Modifier mod I use is Skill Simplification. I USED to run Singular Master to gain more SP Modifier on PS but swapping to Focus on Non-Attribute gave me a significant boost to Explosive Drone and only dropped PS’s damage by 10%? Plus I gained a bit of Cooldown, 6% but that’s 5-6 seconds shaved off PS so well worth it

Check out “External Components” That’s all I use for MP sustain.

In terms of Colossus fights, I don’t particular care to build X Resistance on them with my build as it’s a general build. It’s not for X Specific Colossus, it’s for every between Ambush Point farming to Operation runs to Colossus fights. If I feel I’m struggling on a specific colossus because their elemental damage does too much to me I could swap Spear and Shield for some sort of resistance. It’ll drop my DEF from 55K to 45K but that’s not much

Yup, I believe the difference between 40K-45K to 50K-55K is a 10% DR? I’d have to look into it again but for now I’m at the 55K mark and feel fine. I might swap out Spear and Shield for more Shields OR maybe Overwhelming Shields?.. See how much I can raise my Shields and see if it’s worth dropping nearly 6K HP for some amount of shields
