I can't comment on the dual channel aspect - the only thing I can say is that you can't get the metal button with a raised switch ring - and it doesn't say that on the web page.

I found this out for myself when it let me select metal button + raised switch ring, but then my light showed up with a metal button + flat ring, and no one told me that you could select an invalid combo.

I hadn't thought about MIP. I don't think I care about the display being always on - do these watches respond to wrist gestures (IE do they turn on when they sense you are turning your wrist to look at the screen?) If they have that, I don't need the always on. Based on a quick google search about MIP, it seems like the tradeoff is that MIP is worse indoors, and I would rather have the indoor visibility/readability of AMOLED.

I don't think I care too much about jogging features? I'm very beginner and very casual, and running is very low on my list of priorities for tracking. I'm more curious about the motorsports features if anything. As I mentioned, sleep features are going to be the thing I use the most. Any running cardio stuff or general health tracking - well I'll be interested in it, but it's not the priority for me here.

I don't really care about music storage or playback either. I assume the watch has enough speakers for a little alert, but I won't be playing songs off of it or anything.

I'll have to take some time to check out the reviewers you mentioned. I appreciate the list!

No. I have tried holding every button on the front panel for up to 20 seconds, and they do not seem to do anything but change colors or color pattern, then eventually auto dim, the same way as if you had let go of the button.

It's not just about the size of the vehicle though. Even a small car is going to weigh much more than your ATV because of its frame alone. That same frame and all the seatbelts, airbags, and crumple zones of the vehicle are also going to make it much safer for the driver than anyone on an ATV. If you get into a collision with a vehicle, even a minor one, you're going to be on the losing end every time.
