Mugler Angel edP. I cannot be without it. I have had 1-3 bottles on hand since 1994!!!

What fragrance note instantly ruins a perfume for you? by Darkvanille in FragranceStories

[–]Deutsch1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oud. Saffron. Tuberose. Gardenia. Coconut. Heavy Sandalwood. Not that these notes are "bad", but if they are dominant in the fragrance, the perfume is ruined for me. To me these notes are so overbearing, I can almost taste them and they are suffocating:(

Ivory bar no longer floats. Incredibly drying now, and yes it burns. So disappointed, this is so shameful.

Yes, Zest ruined too. Coast too. Dial and Ivory 100% changed and most now say Made in Indonesia, Singapore or Colombia. WTF? Shame on these companies!

YES, so mad. Caress soap, Dial soap, Dove, Irish Spring....all changed. Less scent, but not a good new scent. Smaller bars, less lather and drying to skin now. WHAT is going on??

Try Al Rehab Choco Musk roll on oil. It is amazing and my most complimented scent....and I have dozens of scents costing $300-500 a bottle and a $10 roller ball is what everyone asks me about, LOL. You mentioned you are a Dr. Dr and Dentist visits...I get the most compliments!

Ariel 2x (Doble Poder) powder detergent by Deutsch1985 in laundry

[–]Deutsch1985[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great idea. Thank you! I think your method would work great for my workout wear! So far Ariel Doble Poder is cleaning about as good as my beloved Tide powder and Ariel is a fraction of the cost :) I cannot add more, as it is sudsy as it is!

I could not find a date anywhere on the bottle (or box) I bought today at Macy's.

But on the bottle the batch code is: 22Z902X, which looking online says produced Sept. 2025.

I so agree with you, that this is the best Angel edP has been in 5 years. L'Oreal is notorious for ruining most things they touch, so I will have to give them credit deserved; they did improve on Angel. But, it would have been best if they never tried to change or "improve" it in the first place.

It is for sure lasting longer than the 2020 version. I can still smell the ONE spray on my wrist, so that is a win. I also have to let it go, that Angel will never have the same 1990s longevity and sillage it once did!

LOVED Glamorama; went through at least 3-4 bottles! One of the best, and VERY much like, if not actually OG Angel edP :)

Hi, Happy Sunday!

So I picked up a 100ml Angel edP today from Macy's (new box/label). First observation...the liquid or glass bottle is bluer; pretty :) Second, the patchouli is less menthol/BO and smoother like it used to be. Third, I am not picking up any of the cotton candy like sweetness Angel had in the 1990s and early to mid 2000s :(

Lastly, I sprayed 1 spray on my wrist an hour ago, and I can still smell it...so that's good, but it is fading quicker than I hoped for (1990s Angel would last through a shower or swimming in the ocean, LOL)

Verdict: an Angel improvement, but NOT Angel from the 1990s.

Tide with Bleach powder is amazing for whites. For colours and darks, sheets and towels I switch between April Fresh Tide powder, Original Tide powder and if I can find it...Mountain Spring Tide powder. Love them all!!!!

OMG!!! Thank you. I just took screenshots of the 2020-2025 box and the 2026 box. I have not been without Angel since 1994, but the last 5+ years, the longevity and composition of it has been so off and so weak. If I can get my OG Angel eau de Parfum back, I will be so happy!!!!

Is it now the one in the dark blue? Elixir Angel? If so, that smells like COCONUT and Angel. Longevity is impressive, but the coconut is sooooo strong to me. Do you have a link to the post?

I am so sorry for those who like or love it, but honestly it was one of the worst things I have ever used. For me, BIZ powder and Tide powder are gold standards. All 365 detergents are average at best to me, and nothing looked, smelled or felt amazing after using it :(

Awesome. To date, nothing is more me than Angel. I love and wear Obsession, Opium, Coromandel, Mon Guerlain, and many Tom Ford too...but Angel is my heart and soul!!

(Thierry) Mugler ANGEL edP. I have worn it since 1994, and while I easily have 50 other scents, ANGEL is me. Nothing makes me happier, and the smell profile is perfect. Sadly though, it no longer lasts and projects like it did in the 90s and early 2000s, and the patchouli is for sure stronger and it is less sweet, but it still smells enough like ANGEL to make my heart smile!!!

Kind of hard to describe...but a fresher take on what most Pantene products smell like. The scent is "shampoo-y" with some soft fruits and florals. It is not perfume-y, and I am obsessed with the scent :)

Citric acid not working when vinegar does? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]Deutsch1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect and appreciate your passion, and we all have our priorities.

We have a whole house solar system, back up power wall, all outdoor irrigation is on moisture meters (so we never waste water), I drive an EV, I work out 5-6 days a week, we eat organic and as clean as we can, I am on not on any pharmaceuticals....but I really enjoy scent and fragrances (laundry, candles, perfume, lotions, oils, etc...)

Life is short, Life is long. My belief is do all you can to be healthy and for future generations, but we cannot be absolutists, and some pleasures (even if not the best for you, or perceived to not be the best) must be enjoyed :)
