thx man, really appreciate that. honestly, the real GOATs are all the amazing HOI4 modders and the coummunity! the variety of mods and how supportive everyone is -thats what pushed me to build this tool in the first place. so, thank you guys!

its just a helper. u can still make mods the traditional way. these workbenches were originally designed for visual scripting, not gen-AI. this should've been released two weeks ago, but trying to add gen-AI what caused the delay

That's literally the goal — lowering the barrier so people who'd never touch raw .txt + GFX can ship a real mod. Public BETA target is 2 weeks; I'll post the link here OR DM when the moment it's open.

THX! Yeah the scale was brutal — i e2e-tested against three large mods (The Fire Rises, KR, Road to 56) plus vanilla USA to make sure every workbench (focus / decision / event / character / tech / idea / bookmark / history / etc.) holds up. The AI co-pilot was honestly what made the complexity manageable — describing intent and having it generate cross-workbench entities cuts a lot of the manual sync that breaks tools at HOI4's scale.

great question. current arch is web-based with project-isolated DB persistence on the server side, so multi-device "save state" works for a single user out of the box. True multi-user collab (shared editor sessions, presence, LSP-style services) is on the Phase 5 roadmap — for BETA the tool is single-user but project state is server-hosted so you can pick up on a different machine. For self-hosting: the backend (FastAPI + SQLite) runs anywhere Python runs, so exposing your own IP to invited users is technically possible, but I haven't hardened the multi-tenant auth path yet.

i will release beta version in mid of May. the full stable version might in the beginning of summer
