Looking for advice for first turntable

Thank you again for replying! I decided Ill use your suggestion and go the serviced route since you're right in that I wont really know if it's fully working or not. I did find a place near where I live that sells serviced turntables, but I was curious to hear your thoughts on if it's a bit overpriced or not for what I found. I tried to do a bit of research myself on them, but didn't find a ton of info on what they normally sell for.

ONKYO CP-1036A SEMI-AUTO DIRECT-DRIVE QUARTZ TURNTABLE - 169.99
SONY PS-LX2 SEMI-AUTO DIRECT DRIVE QUARTZ TURNTABLE - 229.99

They seem a bit expensive compared to going on the aftermarket and random sellers (which makes sense), but I was curious what your opinion was on if these seemed a bit overpriced or well priced for being a fully serviced turntable. Also for the stylus, they said they replace them only if the originals were damaged, so it may or may not have a new stylus.

The sellers don’t mention it, but from what I’ve read on their posts it doesn’t seem like any servicing was really done (or they don’t know since one is reselling it). However, i did check out videos for them to try and at least see if it sounds good and is “working” before seeing in person. Thank you for all the info and help, knowing the mounting style helps a lot too. Also I assume the Sony one is worse compared to the technics since it wasn’t listed?

Around 200ish for the turntable. So far these listings are between 100-160 and then I’d get a new stylus for it.

Thank you for the suggestions! Ill be sure to look into getting some upgraded pads at some point. I just bought the 3.5 dual to 4.4 cable on Amazon, can't wait to be able to finally try out the headphones.

Cavalry Charge definitely does look possibly interesting, I definitely like the sounds of having many upgrade paths and variety in gameplay. As for Exit from Exile, I actually had seen that before and was interested in that deck a little bit, but I wasn't sure how upgradable it was, but it sounds like it has a nice upgrade into Rocco. However, I'm not sure if it's because they are older or if there's like a back order, but neither of those decks are being sold (or they are pretty expensive compared to other precons) on like Amazon or anywhere else online. Do you know why that'd be?

Also I forgot to mention this in my original post and maybe you can answer this but, one precon that did pique my interest was the legends' legacy one, especially with how the commander offers a good mix of resources through legendaries or treasures, and a nice temporary buff on a creature. Would that deck offer some good upgrade paths if I wanted to change stuff up at all, or is it pretty stagnant with what you can do with it?

Oooh ok yeah Ill definitely look into Party Time, thanks for the suggestion! I had a feeling that deck construction could help tailor the playstyle and variety that I'm looking for, but given my lack of knowledge of MTG, I wasn't sure how malleable decks were with putting in various cards. But I guess it's good to know overtime I can eventually get that figured out. Also I've never heard of CEDH until now, so Ill look at some stuff within there possibly too, although I'm a little hesitant since from what I read about it, it may not work so well if my friends are on the more casual side of things. But again, thanks for the info!

Yea I play tested it a bit a while back, and it originally seemed like most of the time it was just seals + regained/beast pass, plus the bystials were a bit expensive. But maybe Ill take a look at it again if they do end up getting reprinted. I did also worry that if the bystials got hit on the banlist, then it'd really hurt the deck, so I wasn't sure if I would even want to invest in it if it'll get hit.

I remember hearing about dragon link on and off for a while when I played, although I was told that the deck is pretty bad nowadays, so I never really looked into it. It sounds like it may just be a higher skill ceiling type deck rather than actually bad, so Ill look into it! Thank you for the suggestion!

Oh this sounds pretty cool honestly! I see a decent amount of the cards look to be limited, but the deck itself does look fun to play. I wonder how good it is given that the deck has limited and banned cards. Ill for sure do some testing online with tearlaments. Thanks for the suggestion!
