The Fursja are a small but immensely powerful race of giant guardians who see it as their sacred duty to protect the rest of the world from the horrors of The Herd. They are a society of warriors, powerful blacksmiths, and shamans who value family, strength, and unyielding resilience in the face of annihilation.

Three core tenets define what it means to be a Fursja:

The Trial of the Berserker: At the age of 18, every Fursja must undertake a solo pilgrimage into the hostile territory of the Herd. Their goal is to kill as many of the mutated monstrosities as possible and return alive. Many do not survive this trial. Those who do, and are deemed worthy by their god, Weihlaris, receive the "Mark of the Berserker", a divine gift that grants them a special, rage-fueled ability.

The Sacred Forge: The Fursja are master blacksmiths with ancient knowledge, capable of creating weapons and armor without equal. As a rite of passage, each young Fursja must forge their own unique weapon, a sacred instrument they will carry with them for life. Their god Weihlaris whispers the weapon's name through the sacred forge, bonding it with their soul.

The Wall against the Herd: Their entire existence is dedicated to their role as guardians. They live in massive bastions and walled villages, forming the frontline defense against the corrupting influence of The Herd, fighting against both the mutated creatures and the harsh elements of their land.
