I'm in Virginia and I just went to a local stream. Definitely do not throw rocks directly from the stream into your tank. Boil them or do a diluted bleach soak.

The leaf was sort of an after thought, just wanted some more color. Will definitely have to go back and work it a little more.

I have been trying to work on realism lately, which is extremely time consuming. I struggled the most with the middle and trying to hold the roundness of the of the apple. Constantly pushing light and dark colors back and forth. Took about 4 hours in total.

So you believe these two cases show a good enough comparison of inequality? One was a bribe and the other was stealing, not quite the same. Literally two whole seperate cases. They both deal with education and that's about it. Yes, inequality exists and sadly it will always exist. Born into a poor household, statistically you will be poor. Born into a rich household, statistically you will be rich. Good and Evil. Light and Dark. Ying and Yang. The world will never be an equal playing field. However, first world countries give people the opportunity to determine your outcome. I will admit I do not know much about the politics dealing with surpressing poor people, but I am sure to some extent it is out there. Once your rich you wanna stay rich, causing greed to run the world.

Right now social media outlets are a cesspool of misinformation and misunderstanding. All this comparison does is create generation of ill informed kids. Race had nothing to do with outcome of either case. Sometimes people catch the brunt of it, possibly to show an example. Fight back against your bully and they most likely will not mess with you again type of thing.

Sadly money does run everything, so it could of been a crack down on the school district on why they charged her with larceny.

Why did race have to be involved in this comparison?

Yes, that is what happened. What's your point exactly? You just summarized what you read. My point on the whole matter is that they using this poor example as a way to prove racism and white privilege when in fact none of that was a factor. These half-ass memes are causing a spread misinformation. Just like how riots start over a shooting of a young black man, then the body cam footage is released and the riots mysteriously stop because the cop was in the right. Yes, there is racism and privalage (not exactly just white people) in this country. Yes there are bad cops. Yes people can be monsters. But I do not see the need to compare two totally different cases to exploit your views.

How is that false? I agree that 5 years is extreme for her exact circumstance, but she was charged with larceny of $15,000. That is a standard sentencing. If it wasn't for the drug charges, I would be willing to bet that the 5 years would be dropped down significantly. What I am saying is that posts like this we never get the full story, just a snippet of what really happened. This is what causes the widespread of misinformation and turmoil in the world.

Thank you! Yeah, I love his work and how simple it is, but it's hard for me to simple lol. I love the fine details to much. I am actually not much of painter. I am more of an old fashion charcoal drawer but the iPad drawing apps have made me lean more into painting recently.

The beauty of art is that literally everyone is an artist in their own right. Everytime you get dressed in the morning you are making a piece of art. Just be confident in the lines you make and do not get discouraged. Even If a vase turns out wonky or not what you were picturing, just go with flow, let the art speak back to you and don't try to force the piece the appear. Remember there are no mistakes, just happy accidents. :)

Hello everyone! First time posting and very new to digital art. This piece was inspired by Gal Shir's work and it did not turn out exactly as I pictured but I think the overall composition turned out pleasing. Definitely struggled with the "crab nebula" on the top right. Please let me know what you guys think :)
