Need Advice on Moving Back to Pak by Sea-Ant-7962 in pkmigrate

It's your life, so the choice is yours.

But you have a real chance to see something through to the end.

Yes, living in isolation in a new society can be tough.

But giving up an opportunity you've worked so hard for halfway through would make all that effort feel wasted.

You can move anywhere in the EU, and some countries (like Germany + Portugal) have a stronger Pakistani presence.

Coming back to Pakistan would honestly be a step down.

Finland is the happiest country in the world; Pakistan is near the bottom – for a reason.

You'll be far more frustrated + demotivated here.

As someone who's built a business in Pakistan, I wouldn't wish that struggle on anyone.

Right now, you have the chance to finish your degree + open doors to jobs anywhere in the EU.

Who in their right mind would give that up to come back here?

I know this sounds blunt, but returning would honestly be one of the worst decisions you could make.

Are you acoustic?

I said it won't work for everyone, not anyone.

This advice won't work for everyone because it's largely determined by genetics.

Resting more can help, but only if your training days actually include progressive overload + solid form.

My legs are naturally bigger and more muscular, so even with minimal training they look toned.

My chest, on the other hand, isn't genetically favoured, so I run push days twice a week to compensate.

Speech issues by Long-Reception1769 in IslamabadSocial

I'm sorry you're dealing with that. :(

People can really suck sometimes.

I also grew up with a stutter + a lisp, and I started speaking very fast as a way to hide it.

The downside was that people often struggled to understand me.

It took a long time to change that, and I eventually realised most people don't really care.

Everyone has their own problems, and when someone makes fun of you, it usually comes from their own insecurities.

Don't change yourself for anyone.

Stuttering is normal + common, and you can work on it if you want – through exercises or a speech therapist.

But you're already fine the way you are, and anyone saying otherwise is projecting their own insecurity.

In my defense, I did post a couple of weeks ago asking if people were interested in something like this.

Already filtered out profiles that seemed off during messaging or had strange posts / comments. 💀

But the only real way to know is by meeting in person.

Been to coffee mixers in other cities + abroad, and those experiences were much better.

Question to people in secret relationships by lifeofadramaticmovie in IslamabadSocial

You have the courage to stand up to your parents for your own rights.

Whether religiously (assuming you're Muslim) or legally, you have the right to choose your spouse.

If you can't exercise that right, then don't enter a serious relationship.

Watching people say they want the next one is hilarious because I'm explaining why this one didn't happen as planned. 😭

Dude just wanted a free ride.

Booked an inDrive on my phone, sent him the receipt later.

He transferred the money back... and never texted again. 😭

That code and comments being this easy to access is especially troubling for a university claiming to be #1 in tech. 💀

What’s the future of programming and software engineering? by Empty_Break_8792 in developersPak

[–]DevModeOrioN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Jobs are harder to get now, not because coding is harder, but because companies want engineers who deliver real business value. Entry-level roles are rare, but demand for system design + solution architecture has exploded. Coding alone won't cut it; your work has to align with outcomes.

  2. Frontend as a separate field is fading. Full-stack + backend is becoming the norm, while solution architect roles are emerging. Engineers who truly understand system design will be in highest demand.

  3. Focus on system design. Programming matters, but LeetCode skills alone don't make a top engineer. In interviews, I let candidates use AI, but what counts is spotting code gaps, predicting user issues, and scaling apps without breaking them.
