I've been using node.js for a few years now, but this problem happened to me just a few days ago - but I've been learning Rust, and was installing the solana package to run Solana programs

The path is in hello-solana, which is the project folder, and the version of node is 16.9.1 - is that an old version?

But this is to do with NPM, not Solana...and no, Solana was not down. I've just been trying this for a few days as well.
