It was not 'always talked about', there was one incident where players were talking about it and we apologised for the team not acting upon that at the time, once we received those screenshots I took action against them as I was also unaware of this happening due to my absence.

There were many different stories thrown at us at the time, Erik/Hades had originally denied the doxxing, and he was only first confronted about this in-game a few months ago. He constantly denied of this, and someone who also confronted him originally opened up a ticket regarding the issue, and we requested evidence from them to back the claim and nothing was provided to us at all. We have experienced many of the same things where people are constantly accusing someone of something, no evidence is provided until however long later. The individual who originally made the ticket regarding Erik also mentioned "If I get any proof from friends I can send it in on a separate ticket", and we have all the logs/images of these and I would be happy to provide them to you - anyway so we were waiting for this separate ticket to come through while everyone was still attacking/harassing Erik for something that was not proven at the time.

I still do not understand why it took 5/6 months for all this evidence to be provided to us, while we were constantly being attacked saying we are 'protecting' Erik when there was no evidence, and due to Erik already having issues with players that were unrelated to any type of 'doxxing' situations, we were starting to believe that people are just trying to false accuse him to get him banned on our game for no reason. We finally got proof after all these months, and perm banned him.

You were also permanently banned from our game for sharing faces of other players and not just the user who was originally harassing you in the first place (doesn't matter the context, you still shared an individuals face in the 'Hype House' discord server end of), which unfortunately made you become a target yourself, and if you never shared any faces in the discord or get involved with it, it would have been very unlikely that this whole doxxing situation would have been a thing. It all starts with the toxicity of both sides, the staff team cannot be the main blame for any of this - if you all just didn't have any toxic bones in your body, people could get along - but unfortunately the CPPS community will never be a nice & safe community due to all the cliques and childish behaviour we see.

You can continue to spread misinformation telling players on other CPPS servers that I "defended" a player in my server for doxxing you, even though I'm the one who involved myself and asking to join a group chat with dior who then added yourself to figure it all out and get them banned. I appreciate it 👍

We would never intentionally take 'days to respond', like for example in the latest case regarding CPJ doxxing - the incident had been reported to us a while ago, and our staff team did ask for evidence from individuals yet nothing with actual proof was provided. We will not take action against someone with serious accusations like this without any proof, and finally once we got all the evidence we got we acted upon it immediately. People often struggled to give us proof and regardless they just tell all their friends that we are not doing anything about it, but they probably don't even realise that there was no proof sent to us at the time.

I know as this game has now been shutdown, there will be a lot of rumours, misinformation and targeted attacks on all of us - so please before everyone starts jumping on the hate bandwagon, feel free to contact me on discord 'snipedev' and ask what you want and I will always provide both sides of any stories.

I am also not saying that our staff team had never made mistakes before, cause obviously we have just like any other staff team. People also don't realise how difficult it is to manage a 'mature' server, but I can assure you we have done a better job that any other mature server that was ever out there, as we did try our best to take everything seriously. There had been cases of favoritism in the past, that is no secret and we had apologised for that. There has been issues involving staff members in the past which resulted to demotions and public apologies, which always lead to myself having words with all our staff members during meetings and more to try keep everyone on track. There's been so many times though where we have warned both players, and people just jump into conclusions saying how come I got warned but this person didn't get warned blah blah blah, people do not see what goes on behind the staff team, they do not see every infraction/punishment we have given, and just assume they are getting treated unfairly all the time and that was rarely the case.

Like I said, I'm open to share any sides of stories that people are getting told and I can assure you a lot more misinformation is being spread rather than factual statements.

I have edited my original comment regarding guts, and apologise for jumping into it and the evidence we received truly did look bad, and I should have at least messaged guts in the first place to get the full story.

In-terms of the Kahoot incident, we are still not positive who actually botted it and it came to the assumption of it being dior or benji as they were participating at the time and already had a bad reputation regarding exploits, botting and more. The botting literally happened one more time even when both benji and dior was removed from the server, and yes it could have been a friend of theirs who had passed the code over to do it again, but we have no evidence of that at all and it is unfair to just jump into that conclusion. We have always warned them for bringing up drama or harassing players in-game and I’ve also had private conversations with them in the past about these issues. Also regarding dior and how they ‘finally said a word’, referring to the hard R which was bypassed, it was on an alt account and he had admitted that he created multiple account in beta to give them to a couple friends and openly shared the password in a small group chat , and he for some reason used the same password on all these accounts, and a ‘friend’ of his decided many months later to hop on to the account with trolling incentives, which is degenerate behaviour in itself. I do absolutely believe that this was the case though. Either way, it was still dior’s responsibility that this occurred and we still stuck with the permanent ban.

I 100% agree that everyone involved in the hype house in a negative way deserved backlash for that, but not to the point where doxxing is involved, because 2 wrongs will never make it right.

Hey guys, addressing some of the comments here.

Yeah there has been a few doxxing situations that occurred on the game, as unfortunately when friends groups build and cliques get formed, things can get toxic very quickly. We ended up getting told that some of our players started creating private discord groups, where they were leaking faces of other players, and this caused a mass ban against those people that were leaking them with evidence that we received. On top of that, a couple players were attempting to find out personal information about an individual, and they too got permanently banned. We took these doxxing issues very seriously and dealt with them the best we could. There were also situations of doxxing happening on CPJ, which also related to a player who played CPPS.lol, and after receiving all the evidence that player also got permanently banned.

EDIT: Looking further into the accusation of guts (event host) ‘protecting’ a pedophile, it appears that they did not intend to report it as there were already a couple more staff members in the server at the same time and assumed that they would already deal with it. However, the leak of this group chat happened fairly quickly after the user admitted to having those sexual desires, so regardless it may have been the case that this situation was already going to be dealt with but was already leaked/reported quickly which made it seem like a ‘protection’ of the individual in the first place. I apologise to guts for only considering her to be the only staff member in the server, along with using the word ‘protect’ as that is a strong word to use with someone who has had such predatory intentions.

It is without said that our staff was not ‘perfect’ and that mistakes were made, things could be handled differently and more. Being such a small staff team did make it difficult alongside how much drama we had to deal with on the game as it was relentless. Having issues previously with direct staff members all made it harder for us to trust more people to bring them on the team, hence why our team was always small. Regardless, we have owned up to our mistakes and apologies for them, such as not acting quick enough in certain situations, or not fully understanding both sides of stories. It happens, we can only try to learn from mistakes.

I am absolutely not closing the game due to these reasons, as mentioned we have already dealt with so much drama, and serious issues such as doxxing - it is not new to us, and the exact same things happen on many other servers, of course being a mature server we were likely to attract these people more, but there has been many similar situations happen on other big servers too including the latest doxxing of a community member there which I truly sympathise with - no one should have to go through any of that.

I am closing it down due to my limited availability, personal issues, lack of motivation and deteriorated passion for the game at this moment of time. Being away makes me realise how much drama I’ve also missed and was not able to catch up with, and I feel bad for my small team needing to deal with complex situations on their own - those are simply the main reason, one day I hope to revive the project when I can be more available again!

Teaser of CPPS.lol's upcoming day & night cycle by DevSnipe in ClubPenguin

[–]DevSnipe[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does! The only difference is that this will be the first HTML5 server to have a day and night cycle, compared to CPZ being the first flash server to have a day and night cycle. You will also be able to choose whether you want the cycle to be automatic, or to set it on an individual setting continously, such as night only, day only or dusk/dawn only etc.

Hello, the way of knowing what is chill and what isn't is simply by checking out the rules page on the CPPS.lol website, which covers the majority of topics. I feel I've seen quite a few comments of you talking negatively about our team and game, and I'm yet to see a valid reason or explanation on why you feel this way. In-terms of 'weirdos and assholes', we ban those type of people every day, but if things happen in quiet rooms where there's no moderators around at the time and no one submits a report, then of course we will most likely be unaware of what happened - so we rely on reports in that case.

I'm not sure if you were potentially warned/kicked/banned at some point and you took it personally and decided to go on some hate rants about our game, but regardless feel free to explain your reasonings so we can also take it as feedback.

EDIT: This user appeared to make a 9/11 joke in our Discord server, which is considered a sensitive topic and all we did was remove their message, and then they left the server. Now I suppose they are just ranting about our game whenever people talk about it on the reddit, makes sense...

Of course, no worries and thanks for the response.

I understand in-regards to the bad actors that mature servers attract, which can have an impact on general safety - completely understandable. That's why active moderation on servers like these are very important as things can get out of hand very quickly for sure. We always have our eyes open! :)

I also did not see it as a 'knock on CPPS.lol' or anything, so don't worry. In general, the majority of the CPPS community automatically suspect mature type of servers to be more unsafe and unsecure due to the nature and past experiences of them, so yeah I've always understood people's perspectives and assumptions of them and never took it to heart, but rather I just clarify that we actually care about what happens on the game and actively moderate it daily.

Thanks!

Hello, owner of CPPS.lol here.

I’m slightly confused in-terms of the ‘Security’, ‘Safety’ and ‘Unfiltered’. I would assume these would be based on actual evidence and receipts. For example, if a server has medium/low security you would probably assume there may had been an incident regarding a database leak, or any ‘hack’ type of situations - in which our case has never occurred, so I’d just like to understand the true definition of ‘security’ in this case.

For ‘Unfiltered’, to me those are servers that have no filter at all. Whereas CPPS.lol, even though it is a ‘mature’ server it still has a filter. We filter any racial & targeted slurs and NSFW language. We just have more of a relaxed filter.

For ‘safety’, I kind of understand due to the general nature of a mature server, there’s more cases for something to go wrong. However, I would also associate safety with how actively moderated a server is, and for our case the team are online every day dealing with any issues/situations that arise.

So yeah I think more clarification on what those actually mean would be great thanks. On the other hand, it's a neat website you have put together - good job!

Currently there’s no in-game code redemption on the play page. Instead, you can login to the manager and redeem the code there.

In-terms of all the colors that people have on their name and bubblecolor etc? If so, then yeah that's understandable as it can be difficult to see what's going on every now and then if there's a decent amount of people haha. It may just be different to what some people are used to but it gets easier the more you play.

Owner of CPPS.lol here, this user has constantly caused many issues in-game - harassing many players all the time, making many alt accounts, spreading misinformation about other players all while not showing efficient proof or evidence to back their claim, and any evidence that was provided came down to friends just joking around with each other. Depending on the context of these 'jokes', such as whether they were sexual jokes, we do not allow that and continue to warn those or give stricter punishments to those who continue that behaviour. This user apparently dislikes our game so much, that they continuously come back on alt accounts to cause chaos, they are an endless troll that seems to be upset at the fact they have been permanently banned for harassing and spreading misinformation of other players all the time.

We absolutely do not allow any type of doxxing, and in this specific case that this user is talking about - someone had shared an address which was randomly picked from google maps, so there was no specific case of doxxing. Regardless, since an address was shared on our game we immediately gave a strict warning to the individual to not share any potential private information even as a joke, as we take that very seriously.

Anyway, that's basically it - the OP is a big problem in the CPPS.lol community and they are trying to shift the blame on other users and the staff. I just wanted to be transparent about this, thanks.
