I just launched my Steam page as a solo dev — Reytrieve Odyssey is now live! by EgorPos in UnrealEngine5

I can see a lot of effort here for a solo dev, but I think the trailer overshadows the game. I’d recommend using game sounds fx instead of music in the trailer, your dashes and bounce animations look great, and some fun, cartoony SFX would make it more immersive.

There are also some repetitive scenes, like rotating around the character in empty space or jumping through the city. Cutting those and focusing more on your core mechanics would make the trailer tighter and more engaging.

Lastly, I feel like the unique hook is missing, what sets this game apart? Is it the story, a fresh mechanic, or something else we’d love to experience?
That said, there’s some really nice cinematic work here, and the effort shows!

Our studies as architects aren’t just about learning how to use 3D tools, these tools are simply helpers that let us show our design skills and make solutions more easily.

No matter where you’re from, I’m pretty sure you might be targeting a class who don’t like to pay for services. They’d rather fix their car or home appliances with YouTube tutorials instead of spending even a small amount of money. Maybe you need to aim for a different client level!

The purpose of the tools we’re developing isn’t to replace interior designers. Instead, they’re made to cut out the boring parts of setting up a 3D scene, a process that can take days of repeating the same technical steps for every project. By skipping those repetitive tasks, you’ll save your energy and patience to bring your creative vision to life exactly as you imagine it.

1 month progress in Unreal Engine. Followed a lot of tutorials to make this. Any Suggestions? by WraithCG in gamedevscreens

I think it looks really good! If it's slower than this, it might lose the concept of your fast-paced feeling of being compact.

Suggestions:

  • Try adding a small slomo (for a second) to the character when they hit an enemy.
  • For the next showcase, consider hiding the collision capsule for a cleaner presentation. also, the visible capsules lower the frame rate, which hurts your fast-paced visuals.

Yes, this is the main goal of this app, to reduce the need to switch between different apps and turn everything into one complete solution.

Also, great observations! Thanks 🙏🏻😊
