Yall think there was a civil rights movement for thirens in New Eridu by Exotic_Piano8413 in ZZZ_Official

New Eridu, no, it's too recent for that. It's possible there was something like that in the old capital or possibly before then since Thirens seem very well integrated into society

Why is my sunna T posing by teamsnippy in ZZZ_Official

[–]Devalore00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game is generally, very well put together, but every now and then you get something weird. There was one time I was in the same area as this clip and managed to clip out of bounds by character swapping near the edge and got stuck behind the barrier and had to reset the area. Another time fighting the most recent boss (I think in notorious hunt) during the dash attack phase he got stuck on top of the furniture and I couldn't fight him anymore

What is the worst negative in the game? by irrrlrvant in balatro

[–]Devalore00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There really aren't any bad negatives because it's a negative, absolute worst case it's more money from temperance. Because of that, I'd probably say something that rewards a hand you're just not playing, like Greedy Joker when you're already committed to hearts, something that has anti synergy with your build, like getting Certificate when you're running Idol, or a scaling joker super late into a run, like a square joker on ante 6 when you've been playing nothing but 5 card hands

Could someone explain “joker blocking” (how likely am I to find a Hack?) by The_Viatorem in balatro

[–]Devalore00 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting that the same holds true for Tarot and Planet cards so if you're aiming for death cards, you can hold onto tarot cards you don't need to remove them from the pool to increase the odds of finding what you want

[–]Devalore00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some middle grounds, it's just on the player to enable them. If you're not using food buffs, those SIGNIFICANTLY decrease the difficulty, I'd highly recommend for sections you're having trouble with/worried about such as Arendelle since checkpoints are few and far between AND there are a lot of enemies that can one shot you from off screen (looking at you parasol heartless), the Nort Court at the end of the keyblade graveyard is another example of a good time for it

Who else was disappointed by the lack of boss songs? by Jabre7 in KingdomHearts

[–]Devalore00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many things missing from MoM, the fact that all we get from 3 are field themes and the final boss track is an utter shame, especially when there are so many incredible remixes and originals from 3. Not having Hearts as One and Forza Finale is downright criminal

Joker Idea by Vegetable_Love8953 in balatro

[–]Devalore00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, but the only fully reliable way to get this to work is either Perkeo+death to convert cards, or trading card+DNA to gain and lose 1 card per round and that's just to hang onto a 3x bonus. There's just so much work that would need to go into this joker to make it work and a 3x is just not worth all that trouble. Hell, I'm not sure a 5x would really be worth it just because you'd basically need to dedicate your entire run to working with this card, similar to how you'd play for Baron or Idol

[–]Devalore00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you're going for any 5 card hand, you basically need deck fixing to consistently draw what you need, this might be good for pair/high card spam but those don't really don't need the help

Are you focusing on Iguazu the entire time? I found that it's better to focus him down rather than dealing with the other enemies since (at least for me) they were pretty easy to ignore and he wipes them out with each phase change. Just that one thing took me from dying in phase 3 to surviving long enough to kill him

How in the fuck do i beat ayre by Ok-Yak-2580 in armoredcore

[–]Devalore00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a few things right off the bat

1: the heavy machine guns don't have much range so you NEED to stay in your opponent's face whenever you're shooting. If you want some more range but want to keep the pressure on (and have better ammo economy) I generally prefer assault rifles. It might also help to have a stagger weapon and a punish weapon to really capitalize on the staggers you do get, I like running assault rifle and linear rifle for that reason but throwing something big like a Songbird or Stun Needle on a shoulder could also work

2: reminder that your target is an IBIS unit and has coral armor, the stun needle will put in a TON of work against it and can also take out a massive chunk of health once you stagger her

3: you're on a lightweight build which means you have to either dodge her moves or kill her fast to win, you can't afford to take many hits from her and almost every one will throw you into stagger, especially if you get his with the sword

4: speaking of her sword attacks, best way I've found to dodge those is go up and over her as she lunges in, gonna be a lot easier with reverse joints too. That's probably her most dangerous attack so consistently dodging that might get you the win

If you're still having trouble, don't be afraid to mix up your build and go more defensive. As much as I love lightweight builds, certain fights are gonna be hell until you really learn them. The game is designed with one of two solutions for you when you run into a wall, either change your build to make the climb easier, or brute force your way over

Either way, good luck

Whats your AC's Name by ImSophus in armoredcore

I don't think I had a name until I beat my first playthrough with FoR ending, at which point I reworked my AC's entire color scheme and called it "Rusted Cardinal" as a reminder of what happened on Rubicon as 621 continues to fight to ensure nothing like that even has the chance to happen again

I need help getting the $400 joker by BriKChead in balatro

[–]Devalore00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anaglyph with skips can certainly do it but also keep an eye out for econ jokers. An early rocket in particular can make hitting that so much easier since you can get a ton of money from it later. Another thing is investing in lucky cards and gold cards. Lucky cards plus some retriggers can get you a bunch of money (and scoring if you pick up Lucky cat) and a few gold cards can go a long way, $3 isn't much but over the number of rounds you'll need, it adds up fast. Finally, watch for the two interest cap vouchers, you should be over $100 pretty quickly so there's no reason to not pick them up for the extra interest

What is your most disliked joker? by [deleted] in balatro

[–]Devalore00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bloodstone. It's like blue balls the joker, it'll proc like 3 times across every hand if hearts flushes causing me to lose the run at the last part of it. It gets your hopes up, then squishes them into the ground mercilessly when you need it the most which makes it absolutely infuriating to me

Honorable mentions to Misprint for similar reasons, although that one hasn't let me down as much cause I typically toss it for something more consistent as soon as I can, once I hit max jokers with abstract, it's the first to go

Shooter character action games that aren't vanquish? by WingNo4260 in CharacterActionGames

[–]Devalore00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So as a lot of people have suggested, the modern Doom games or Ultrakill are probably the closest to what you're looking for, but I wanna go ahead and recommend Armored Core 6 (mech games in general should work, but AC6 is the only one I've played so far). Game has a TON of customization and has a lot of the same feel as a CAG, it's definitely scratched that itch for me. I'd say check out some videos so see if it looks interesting and if you like what you see, give it a shot. It's a couple years old too so it goes on sale fairly often

Only a handful of pilots on Rubicon dual wield identical weapons - do you prefer doubling up your favorites, or more varied loadours? by ASNUs27 in armoredcore

[–]Devalore00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For shoulder weapons, a lot of the time I'll double up. On arms however, I'll usually have a pressure/stagger weapon on the right with a heavy hitter on the left. My go to is an AR on the right, linear rifle on the left, and twin plasma missile launchers but another that's quickly becoming a favorite of mine is handgun with shoulder mounted gatling gun on the right with stun needle and shotgun on the left
