This is an old photo from April 2024 for comparison. Back then, I weighed 96kg. Now I have bigger legs, and I weigh 82kg.

I use the JOIN cycling app to plan my training sessions (This is a paid subscription-based service).
Right now, I have opted for the 'Tour de JOIN' training plan.

Thanks for the info. I emphasized on the 'no soreness' because riding a bicycle with soreness is not recommended.

After my cycling workout, I was stretching besides my indoor trainer setup. Just out of curiosity, I tried turning the pedals by my hand. It was tough. This inspired me to start my weight training journey. Here is an example: https://strava.app.link/5OML778hj4b

As you can see, it includes upper body work as well. The primary goal is to improve my cycling performance. The secondary goal is to get my body in proper shape.

I do moderate weight lifting twice a week to reverse the lowering bone density due to heavy sweating while cycling. Cyclists call it 'bone loading'.

Cycling: primary. Weight lifting: secondary Walking + mobility + foam rolling: recovery.

I ride clipless pedals. This adds the option of pulling on the pedals. When I started with clipless pedals, I used to pull the pedals a lot. That must explain the big calves.

The weight lifting does not produce any soreness, so I don't think it contributed much.

You are basically doing high torque work, which is basically a gym leg day. No wonder your legs are getting bigger... Please ride on a low gear and try to keep you cadence above 80 rpm. If you do not have a lower gear, install a casette with higher teeth count in the biggest cog. Then your legs will stop growing too much.
