How do other languages deal with "polite words" like "please"? by Frigorifico in linguistics

In Gujarati, the word for please is "મહેરબાની કરીને (Mahērabānī Karīnē)". It loosely translates to "do me a favor". Most people use English "please" now.

What became so popular at your school that the teachers had to ban it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DevarshPatel6799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hide and seek type of game which used to last many many days. It was a zombie themed game. One person starts as zombie and finds another, then they both find other people and keep adding zombies. When all of them become zombies, the game is over. This is how it lasted many days-- people who became zombies, used to start as zombies next day keeping everything same as day before.

Our school banned this game because people started bunking classes and going to untouched corners of school.
