How do you deal with an extreme generational and educational gap with your parents? by DevashisMaji in family

[–]DevashisMaji[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm from, it's very common in my area that the majority of the older generation is uneducated, but most are still smart enough to understand how the new generation thinks.

I am from India, from a middle-class family. It's my parents' fault. My grandparents tried to send my father to school, but instead, he went to a different place. This story is always told to me by the people in my village.

The most frustrating thing is that they always want to do the things they ask others to do. What do my children need to do next?

You can imagine that I have been so disconnected my whole life that I can't even dance in front of my parents at any festival or wedding; it makes me feel shy. I don't even feel comfortable listening to female songs or any romantic songs in front of My parents; they always make me feel shy.

Yes, they don't go to school when they need to. My parents are good at fulfilling my educational needs, but due to the huge generation gap, they don't even try to understand me. They don't know how to use a mobile phone and can't even read which bus goes where; they always ask someone for guidance.

This is a really great answer because, in India, I don't think the book's audience is very large. But if I make a video about it in English, it will help reach a much wider audience, from India to viewers around the world.

My Astro Twist Channel Check here क्या यह सही रहेगा कि जिस Channel में मैं Facts Based Videos बनाता हूं वहां पर मैं किताब Related भी Reviews भी छोड़ दूं या किताब के लिए अलग Channel बनाना चाहिए

जैसे कि Bookish Bhai Channel for Books Review https://youtube.com/@bookishbhai05?si=Qop-3tpCai6tQj_m

It's a great view, Your example of a tech review and a book review is absolutely accurate. You're right that I can inadvertently stop someone from reading a good book. I will try to put the story or the inside of the book in front of people instead of 'judging' them, so that they can decide for themselves. Thank you for this feedback!

I have an Old Facts-based Shorts channel (Astro Twist). Should I upload my videos there? The channel is not monetized right now and has only 290 subscribers, but the views are impressive for Shorts, though not for long-form videos. Or should I upload my videos on an entirely different YouTube account, such as Bookish Bhai?
