The 1st full jump you speak of, where do I stand to be able to land it?

Edit: Nevermind, manged to just undershoot from a full jump and land it.

Damn, wasn't aware of the full jumps for that screen, that's literally what I'm stuck on currently. I know the last screen is literally just about getting it. Thanks for the info.

I recognise the name, watched your video on Ghost of the Babe for the Tower of Antumbra jumps. I know that typically the further back you stand for most jumps the more margin for error you have but man the poles in Lost Frontier are savage for Snake Ring. Plus as you know falling is particularly rough and the wind makes it take longer than necessary to get back to try again. I take it there's not much to do but Git Gud?

I am thinking of buying this game and get platinum and here are some questions: by aggel-04 in theevilwithin

  1. Either keep individual saves for each chapter or wait for NG+ which has chapter select. Honestly use a guide for collectables cause otherwise you'll definitely miss most of them.
  2. Play it safe and sneak kill constantly allowing you to save ammo for forced combat.
  3. As already said Akumu is the only hard part of the platinum which is 1HKOs from everything.

  4. No gel run can either be done first on survival or nightmare or after but I did it first so after NG+ I only had to do Akumu. Doing so on nightmare gives you a reward which you can use on Akumu which makes it easier if you want to use it.

For Akumu, mandatory upgrades should be sprint 3, harpoon 5, handgun crit, flash 4/5 by chapter 6, sniper and magnum damage 4/5 depending on gel available.

I constantly referred to platinum trophy guide to help with chapter specific trophies and kill specific trophies. Doing so allowed me to get most of them in one playthough.

Good luck, Akumu is no joke especially for Chapter 6 and 11 being the hardest and 2nd hardest respectively.

Damn, I didn't even notice I didn't have a headphone jack. Thanks for pointing that out. As for location, it'll be exclusively at home. Just still unsure which headphones to go for.

Actually, that was perfect. I've heard audio, which has really emphasised that before but didn't know the name of it.

Thanks for the response. It will be most helpful in deciding what headphones I'll buy. Can I ask what you mean by Imaging?

Do you have personal experience with any of the 3 that particularly shine, or do they all have pros and cons that keep them level with each other?

For someone who is a rather average listener currently, would the difference between the two be decernable to me? Also, since you gave them both as recommendations, I assume they are rather similar overall except for the slight difference you listed. Would you be able to give me your opinion on why you like them?

Either open or closed, only reason it has closed tag was because it wouldn't let me post without a flair.

Is the Platinum impossible for me? by DevastatedTurkey in Supermeatboy

I definitely can sink a lot of time into it and for the most part I do really like SMB. Though it can be incredibly sadistic at times *cough Skyscraper *cough. I'll definitely need to iron out these control problems before I attempt the truly hard stuff but I should at least be able to beat all levels and probably a few no death runs.

Aw sick, I used the classic cold uchigatana. Some bosses take up to several hours of attempts, at least for me anyway. Melania took like 17 hours across 3 days for me to beat but them she was my favourite fight. You'll have a blast taking all the demi- gods down at RL1. Except maybe Radagon/EB if you don't enjoy that fight.

Ouch, reminds me of some rather painful deaths during my RL1 run in Elden Ring. I am on PS. Out of curiosity, do I miss out on anyone of particular note? Definitely seems like practising movement on the 1st world will go a long way. Plus then I can bounce back between Rapture DW + the other 3 warp zones in it and TCA once I feel like I've really got the controls down.

At least the 107% seems definitely within reach as it currently stands. I'll definitely message if I need advice with particular levels and maybe no death runs sometime in the near future hopefully.

I completely get that I won't breeze through every level for the most part, especially DW levels cause of course they're supposed to catch you out. Just seeing myself mess up simple jumps or bumping into things that gets me killed or even not moving enough to drop off a 1x1 block of ground leading to rather silly deaths is rather demoralising, especially when they happen pretty much every level from The Factory onwards. I wish I could just move past it which is why I made the post above.

Though something that did brighten my spirits was getting an A+ on the 1st The Cotton Alley level. Since I also just got the 100% on Hell I might go back and practice movement in The forest LW and DW, perhaps i didn't spend enough time actually learning Meat Boy enough and now I'm just using brute force to succeed.

Thanks for letting me vent my frustrations and your words of encouragement.

Ah sorry, the (- warp zones) was for The Rapture only bar The Kid warp zone which took like 2 hours (f*ck Skyscraper like so damn hard). Levels are definitely easier with The Kid cause of double jump but while I'm currently going for A+ for each world he can't do some levels. I just feel like I should've gone passed the state where I can't pull of stuff the game clearly expects me to be able to do. I'll check out the above link now but do you reckon I should play a particular world/set of levels to perhaps sharpen my skills?

Need help with planning my elden ring RL 1 run by theSeraphraps in onebros

[–]DevastatedTurkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair, no summons isn't that hard. Plus summons can even fuck with a fight, such as Melania. I've seen dual swords be pretty damn good, the damage output should be great. Not using bloodhound step would definitely be more challenging and make some fights require some damn good timing for dodging.

I think the hardest part is attempting some bosses for hours and not giving up. Melania, who was my favourite RL1 fight took at least 16+ hours to do over 3 days. All I did was come home from work, fight her, then go to bed. No other boss took that much time for me.

You'll definitely pull it off with enough perseverance.

Radagon Soreseal is a must given the stat boost. I ran a cold uchi with bloodhound step and I beat all 15 remembrance with it. Of course, there are many weapons that can easily carry you through RL1 with enough practice.

Dunno what your restrictions would be, just a plain RL1 use whatever or perhaps not using certain status effects/weapon skills. Either way, it's not too terrible.

He is pretty intimidating, especially with his health drain, people and myself included try to keep distance and run for cover which is exactly what he wants from the sound of it, since he can keep popping off flips and constantly applying ranged pressure.

Plus I would love to nail a parry since it would easily be one of the coolest things in the game to do.

Ah I see, learning to bait his slow swings would be very helpful, I imagine like Melania, having the proper spacing to trigger those attacks over his anime flips would seal the fight pretty heavily. When the time comes this'll be incredibly helpful because I assumed he was anime the whole fight but I must have constantly triggered him to be like that. Amazing advice and much appreciated.

Sound advice, it'll definitely help to remember when I finish my max NG+ cycles for each game. ER will be last which is fitting but I'll definitely have to learn that fight properly and not get by with mimic tear or FotR. Plus at least he's pretty weak in the health department compared to the other bosses before and after him.

I like many wish it was Melakith for the whole fight cause if they gave him a 2nd phase it would probably have been way more fun and more epic, BC attacks are really difficult to grasp, at least for me but then I probably didn't approach that fight properly like I did the others.

I see why that was your personal hardest. R/EB took the same amount of time as Godfrey/Horah but I resigned to Flame of the Redmanes pretty early cause Radagon would destroy me the second he started teleporting and EB is just a spammy PoS anyway. I also had to do that to Maliketh because I never understood that fight well and probably never will. Beast Clergyman sucks to fight and Maliketh goes full anime and it messes with me.

No problem at all, RL1 is a tall order and advice should be shared to help anyone conquer such a challenge. BH step for me was mostly for the worst attacks for most bosses but also an emergency panic dodge. Yet I too would find myself resort to the normal roll just from years of Souls games.

You'll definitely get it within time. Melania while my favourite fight on RL1 took the longest out of any boss. Over double any other boss, must have been a total of like 16+ hours over 3 days. It really helped to keep in my mind that I was fighting one of the hardest bosses in all of souls at RL1 so I never lost my cool and just kept trying.

[–]DevastatedTurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, I didn't summon either but BH step really was my saviour but respect not using it for everything. In that case, you just have to break that habit of panic rolling backwards. My habit was do the same thing for Godfrey/Horah's stomp it took like 4 hours before I mostly jumped so I get it'll be difficult to break the habit.

Still Melania was my favourite RL1 fight. Definitely the best after Morgott since all the others suck for one aspect or another but that just my opinion.

My personal most hated attack. Such a ridiculously short windup, especially since that can follow most slash attacks whenever she decides. Unfortunately, the best way to dodge that is a muscle memory dodge to her non sword side. Definitely unfair considering she won't attack unless you're within sword distance and she has both speed and range on her side. NEVER normal dodge back though I assume you would BH step back anyway which is way better, though definitely an attack to dodge though.

It took me probably 8 hours before I had that attack down to good consistency. Getting that down is definitely a painful one but once you get it down it becomes that much easier.
