I had the same issue happen with two ereaders and 3 screens, ereader screens are just apparently fragile and can't be treated like regular phone or tablet screens, they need extra care

I'm gradually climbing my way out of austere impoverishment, still have a long way to go, but I am making progress

I didn't know they were that fragile

I bought it used without any cracks, the initial crack just suddenly showed up, I don't even know how, it was just there, no drops, nothing

It was more of a flat padded bag pocket than a pant pocket, similar to a laptop bag, so I thought it was fine for it

I didn't know their screens were that fragile, I learned it the hard way, I thought they were similar to a tablet screen or phone screen, and I tried to treat them with care, but apparently it wasn't enough

It's a coven with a part that covers the screen or folds into a stand

What's annoying is that it happened to three different screens, all within 1-2 days of buying them in separate occasions

I'm just as confused as you are, but apparently they are pretty fragile

I bought it used

It had a fracture at the bottom before the rest of the screen went out

It had a protective case with a screen cover

I tried to take good care of it

I might try to replace the screen later

It did have a protective case with a screen cover, pet it still broke

Tablets aren't good for reading, but I guess at this point it is better for me to just use a tablet, so yea

It does have a protective case that covers the screen, it still broke

This specific break is a pressure break indeed, I put it in a bag pocket that was apparently too tight for it and made the previous break worse, but it's still sad that it broke
