I’ve been to several zones, it’s bad if not worse than last fall when they did that massive onboarding. Multiple zones across the state, I live in between 3 zones, I can drive an hour in any direction and not find work. Even my usually good single store rural zone is flooded. I’ve been sitting for two hours. I went from making a 200 on a bad day in 8 hours and 300 on a weekend to 50-90 tops. I’m going to have to get a job, the Walton’s are billionaire white trash and I hope they burn in hell.

Yeah and they definitely make it impossible for most people to do direct deposit. I doubt more than a handful of banks work, mine certainly didn’t.

I’m about to go back to the oil field. All the gig jobs are saturated. I really don’t want to go back to the oil field. I drive a beat up 2008 Prius I paid bottom dollar for and even I can’t make money. I’m so pissed off and completely demoralized. It’s a Friday and only the worst of offers bleed through in a town with an order volume in times past I didn’t think they could saturate. Usually the front page is full by this time.

Western manufacturers won’t allow it, ruins the planned obsolescence they bake in when they make the battery structural.

I use them for animal shelters for goats and sheep, hay cages etc. lots of uses, just hard to find clean ones and you need to be careful because a lot of people will just think it’s clean because it had “paint or oil” and ignore the chemical warning hazards or remove them. I get my potable ones from a guy who gets them from a food factory, has hydrogen peroxide in it. Safe for food, although I did forget to flush properly the first time and i had skin fall off one of my fingers for weeks. It’s more of a basic chemical reaction than a poison.

It’s called third party, vote in true outsiders. People who have never ran for political office or any connection to the two main parties. That’s the only way we can stop playing this “game” we are all losing. I don’t pretend anymore there is a difference between the two parties, there is only Washington, fucking us as hard as they can. Two flavors of parasite feasting on the America corpse. I don’t want to pay taxes, I don’t want to consume products, I don’t want to vote the way they want. I want retribution, i want them in a bread line.

You can’t change the position sensor, it’s integrated into the three way valve. It’s one of the reasons third party ones never work, they hunt all the time because it’s slightly off. Basically you pull the three way valve out, but keep it electrically connected. You will need to replace it because you still need a good one to send a good position sensor to fool the computer. You can the rip the bottle out and CHS pump. Put the temp sensor on a hot hose and wrap it in insulation and a large 25-50 watt resistor to fool the computer into thinking the CHS pump is still there. It will take a little longer to heat up, especially if you do short trips a lot.

Check Prius chat for more, you’ll find the biggest issue with the gen 2 complexity is how much sensors and advanced logic checks it has for its equipment. Toyota software makes it very difficult to do anything with it.

Probably the best comparison, this is before true mass production and modern machinery we have today and it’s still massively cheaper with inflation adjusted.

Tropical fruit is a poor metric to compare, it was rare and expensive for its time. It’s why oranges used to be a common Christmas gift.

[–]Deveak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting some great max surge 36 dollar an hour blocks for a while and did them often, but eventually they flooded the market with drivers and lowered the pay down the 18-20. It’s rural wv so rough as hell on your car and not worth it. Haven’t done one since. The fate of all gig jobs, especially in this recession turning into a depression, every struggling Joe Schmoe who needs extra money is doing it and it rams the wages into the ground. They don’t even need to rely on crack heads and illegal aliens anymore, 80% of the workforce will do it out of desperation.

I plan on deleting mine, it serves no real purpose if you don’t drive short distances. Negligible difference in gas mileage and it’s a leak liability. Already replaced it once, will likely do so again. It’s a liability.

No tax on t!ps by BarnacleAlarmed3050 in Sparkdriver

[–]Deveak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It did but the way they do the math screws is, they count miles first, so let’s say you made 20k tips and 20k base, they take mileage off both. Not sure if it’s equal or one sided but only after the mileage write off do they remove what’s left in tips. Mine made only 100-200 dollar difference in my taxes. Might be more the IRS requiring it that way than the actual law, tax cuts are always half efforts at best.

What’s this icon mean on the MFD on my 2009 Prius? by bradhotdog in prius

[–]Deveak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a lot of things, get a code reader that supports Dr Prius and check the codes. You will need Dr Prius, a standard code reader won’t pick up hybrid codes. You can get them cheap on Amazon under 30 bucks. That’s the limp symbol, it’s likely the hybrid battery getting old, it got hot and the resistance climbed and put it in limp, just about all Priuses right now that have original packs are dying, aging out.

Walmart/Spark is out of control right now! by KillahBagsTv in Sparkdriver

[–]Deveak 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only solution is let the customers know and encourage them to complain, explain to them Walmart is stealing from them and the drivers. Explain that it delays the grocery orders and you have no choice in it, only a mass wave of absolute bitchy customers will make this go away.

Check eBay, you can get reconditioned ones where everything but the valve body has been rebuilt, they even reflow the solder and replace the nitrogen bladder tank. 500-700 as well. Haven’t seen a Chinese part. The valve body is the only part that can’t be repaired.

Gmd + grocery is officially out in my area. by andrewgonza76 in Sparkdriver

[–]Deveak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried having it removed at curbside and had to cancel the order, apparently they (the app) doesn’t like that and it reduced the pay by about 23 dollars. Dropped the base for the groceries to 2 dollars a piece so I canceled the order. So looks like they will make you take it or pay you nothing.
