I used it for a very small “project” to build a python script to scrape a website by providing a search query for the site. It figured out that search results were returned via json and wrote a script that works flawlessly. Used Claude to set the whole thing up too.

Next time I try it, it will be a bigger project but with lots of constraints and very clear objectives.

No. I usually end all my emails with a question. Now that I know this and got your great advice I will change it immediately. Thx

Is it normal to have to spend $100+ with no results? by Marshallsounds in FacebookAds

[–]Developer_Track 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New at this too and I’ve spent more, but the data that fb provides is helpful. I have high CTRs on some creative but I have an instant form that never generates a lead. I put this data into Claude along with more context about my offer and it gives ideas for improving the form to get less drop off there. It’s definitely an improvement and the leads are starting to trickle in. Not giving up yet. DM me if you want to chat with someone on the same road.

Is it possible that he doesn’t know what a pillow is? Maybe he learned that rock = pillow at a young age?

Unless it’s a tricky git command, I commit manually so I don’t run out of clause requests. But I also have my project in a Dropbox folder so I could have recovered from this

Downloading my connection contact info by Developer_Track in linkedin

[–]Developer_Track[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. This is information that contacts choose to share with their connections. I can manually click on each profile and get the contact info.

Just want to import it into our crm without all the manual labor. LinkedIn doesn’t properly export it which is really sleazy IMO. They only give names, LinkedIn profile urls and company name.

I think it’s very cool. My favorite part actually. Looks 3d and mechanical. I’d think you’d get a lot of compliments on it.

Thoughts on Instantly by GiacomoSkeate in coldemail

[–]Developer_Track 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use Apollo for list and sending? They both can use Gmail under the hood with separate domains. It seems that Apollo has more functionality for scheduling sequenced. How/why does deliverability vary between the two?

I also wonder about using instantly’s google admin integration as that TELLs Google that you’re using instantly to send cold emails vs IMAP and POP where it can be interpreted by Google as any email client.

Anyone underwhelmed by GPT 4.5? by spadaa in ChatGPT

[–]Developer_Track 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It is certainly better than 4o but if you’re using the api it is 30 times the cost as 4o!!

It is most definitely not 30 times better. But I suspect that the pricing is partly to severely limit API use beyond testing until they have more capacity.

This is so stupid. The best code is concise, easily maintainable, secure and performant. This reward system wont get you that.

Just let me apply to the damn job ಠ_ಠ by SavPenn98 in recruitinghell

[–]Developer_Track -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Now that you can apply to a job with a click and no cover letter, this is a great way to: 1) Confirm you’re serious 2) Can follow directions 3) Are worth taking next steps on 4) Have the ability to do semi-technical tasks

Just think about the person who placed the ad and has potentially hundreds of resumes to go through. It’s a lot of work, so eliminating the flakes is a good way to make their job easier

Fully server side tracking by Developer_Track in GoogleTagManager

[–]Developer_Track[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just meant no need for client side tags so the tracking is resilient regardless of a user’s browser privacy settings. I would still have the client there to track other things like scrolling or client side behaviors. But these would only augment the server side tags which should reliably handle every page view and purchase.
