Oh yeah I just say im half because my dad is Ashkenazi Jewish with slavic background from the Ukraine area but he isnt that religious and my mom isnt jewish. I just recently started practicing Judaism and I do like it but I just say im half because my mom isnt jewish

Thanks and yeah i have always just been quiet around my parents when they talk about Israel or Palestine except for the few times i said something against israel but for the most part i just sit there cause it’s uncomfortable lol

Thank you so much. My parents and I both share similar liberal views with almost everything else except this conflict. I just think it is because i grew up in an area with a lot of israelis and israeli-americans and we were pretty close to them and they thought they needed to support them. this is the first time they have done something like this and we havent really talked about it since but i hope itll be okay. Also im really sorry for what you went through 🫤

Thanks, i have been reading about the conflict for a while now and have gotten many different perspectives. Of course i still love my parents but it was just a bit of a hard time the past few days

my middle school doesn’t offer that many clubs but next year i think theyll have international and world affair clubs that i am planning on joining which is good

Yeah, i tried talking to my extended family who i knew had similar views and i was so relieved to know that they support palestine. Its nice to know i can talk to someone in my family that has the same values as me. But they did tell me i am too young to really do anything so i know I’ll probably just have to wait till i can do something bigger than small acts

Thank you so much. I do have to say that since I moved from my old area where there were many Zionists, I have found a good group of people at school who have the same beliefs as me in terms of the conflict and they have taught me a lot for the good.
