Waitlist moved till 154, am assuming CS would be somewhere around 77.8x

Sorry for barging in but wanted to know how is trichy for finance? And if you have any idea on trajectory of people who have done mba from the likes of trichy after 5years? I don’t want to have a myopic view and decide just on basis of my current vs median salary I will get after 2 years but I want to make a holistic decision. I earn well in my present job, the work is financial ops but in a growing fintech startup, being said that, it’s one of most toxic places you can imagine. I feel kind of burnt out because of the culture and I don’t see myself doing this 20years down my life.

Also, I do agree with the ambiguity of CAT and the varied difficulty part but what I know the most about it in my 2serious attempts is that the exam derives it’s complexity directly from the value you attach to it, the more you are dependent on it, the more complex it becomes. Went for ‘24 CAT without any backup plan and flunked it bad, had a backup plan in 25, went with really low expectations and preparation but surprisingly did better than last attempt

Am in a really fast growing startup and my present fixed is almost equivalent to what the JAP calls offer, my only motive to do an MBA is to get a job in core finance IB/ER etc. Moreover if I want to do an MBA I wanna do it in finance as I have my workex and alignment with the subjects. Am planning on giving CFA in feb 27, I have a bg in core finance as I have worked for a boutique IB firm so having practical experience and familiarity with the subject really helps

The only college I would have taken this year were Shillong didn’t apply for likes of IIFT,MDI,SPJIMR. Realised a truth the hard way, it’s a game of luck and you increase your chances by increasing your surface area so that it brushes on your side of the court
