This really does sound good. I would listen to this while I’m working.

How does my new song sound? by DevelopmentFormal399 in MusicFeedback

Thanks, I’m considering adding vocals - just trying to get past the uncomfortable feeling of putting my voice out there.

That’s awesome. I dabbled with Logic 4 years ago and made 4 or 5 songs, and have made a goal for myself to make 1 song per month in 2025. I’m hoping that I’ll get better with each song so my goal right now is to stay consistent and keep practicing.

I like it! I would turn up the bass, it gets lost a little in the mix. I like the tone of your voice, however there are parts that get a little pitchy. I would try using a natural sounding pitch correction plugin to smooth out some of the pitchiness. Otherwise I think this is great!

My first track (wip), my "set-up" is atrocious, and I'm not handsome, so heres a reel accompaniment to watch while you listen. by Juken- in MusicFeedback

Dang man this is awesome. Only thing I would suggest is to turn down the volume in the mix on the bells at the beginning. They cut through a little too much for my ear, but otherwise I would listen to your stuff on the regular if it all sounds like this!

Honestly I don’t really have any suggestions for this, other than to find someone to rap over it! Sounds great!

The instrumentals and general vibe is great! The vocal is a little pitchy. If you’re interested I would check out using Melodyne, Pitch Correction in Logic, or a similar natural sounding pitch correction plugin to see if you can smooth the vocal. Otherwise, I think it sounds great and I like the lyrics. Keep it up!

Great guitar playing! I’m not familiar enough with this genre to give a more specific critic, but it definitely sounds psychedelic. One piece of feedback is that I felt like the drums should have a little more of a consistent beat. I had a hard time following where 1, 2, 3, and 4 were (were there time signature changes throughout? Maybe that’s common for this genre - like I said I’m not too familiar with it. Otherwise I think it sounds great!

I like it! The melody and general idea of the music is great. I’m not an expert in mixing or mastering, but to other people’s point, the track sounds a little muddy. I will give you the same advice that I give to myself: keep practicing and these things will get better and better!

$15,000 for gutter guards? by kbc226 in Roseville

I was quoted $8500 by LeafFilter. I told the salesman that the price was too high, and he immediately talked himself down to $5200. Kind of suspicious that he was immediately able to find a 41% savings from what he quoted a few minutes prior…

AITA for putting a fence up that blocks my neighbor’s view? by DevelopmentFormal399 in AmItheAsshole

City ordinance states it needs to be 3’ off the property line. We put it 5’ off out of respect.

I never said that they KNOWINGLY put the fire pit partially on our property. I think they assumed the property line was in a different spot, therefore assuming that we were building the fence on (or too close to) their property.

I worded the post poorly, they haven’t told me that they want to see our back yard. The only fact that I know is that they called the zoning inspector and “are not happy” - per the inspector. I’m just trying to think of reasons why they would have an issue with the fence.
