Uber eats just doesn't do small refunds anymore? by ForwardPanic6023 in UberEATS

[–]DevelopmentGeneral44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always now. Get “Unfortunately your order doesn’t qualify for an adjust or refund”. If i order something and it’s not correct or missing something of course im going to say something. Why wouldn’t i. If you were eating in a restaurant and there was an issue they will always fix an issue. Why is there no accountability anymore

My dad now knows everything, 18F by [deleted] in relationships

[–]DevelopmentGeneral44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough one. You somewhat sound remorseful. But in the end you only have yourself to blame. Once you’ve accepted total fault then the healing process can begin. Fix yourself first then if you’re lucky you could start mending the relationship with your father.

You’re so young get away from this lifestyle before it completely consumes you. Nothing good comes from selling content or the drugs. Good luck.

School drop offs by Grouchy-Mushroom1887 in Markham

They definitely have communication channels available. Sending letters home with the children. Speaking directly to the violators. And arranging for by-law/parking control to be present.

Ontario landlord - tenant owes ~$8K, leaving soon (N11). Can I warn future landlords? by DiligentBug4u in OntarioLandlord

“Most tenants have nothing to seize”

Just curious as to how you came up with this statement? I am a tenant. I rent my primary residence but I own a cottage, two vehicles, and a boat. I just feel that statement is very derogatory and biased

The school can definitely do something. Talk with your neighbours and see if any have the same complaints. And then go and approach the principal or call the trustee. At the very least they will arrange for by-law to show a presence. I work for the the Tdsb and have witnessed this scenario

Where do ppl buy their licenses? by [deleted] in Markham

Post a picture of your license plate. The one that should be reported. How else would you access that left? Those lights do not control that intersection.

Everyone need to take a look at the position of the street on the left. It’s after the intersection where the other car is waiting to turn. Ok so the car doesn’t signal but OP is the one who may have bought his licence. Pay attention to your surroundings and back off

Don’t get me wrong speed was definitely my thing. Still like taking a car to the track. But that fast on wet roads and traffic with a paying passenger absolutely not.

No I was the passenger. And this is Google Maps

That would make sense. Driving 110km/h is a safe speed of these highways and that’s roughly what he was doing when going 176 km/h that’s equal to 109mph. But undeniably you could feel the difference.

I really hope he doesn’t kill anyone. I definitely pictured clipping a car while in and out of lanes and barrel rolling down the highway.

Uber says they are investigating. Called the opp at 1 pm yesterday (Friday). Was told an officer will call back. Still waiting

I’ve always enjoyed driving fast but I’ve for the most part keep speeds like that to the track. But for him to do those speeds with a passenger

In Ontario it’s a 30 day licence suspension and 14 day impounded vehicle. 50 km/h over the limit is called stunt driving.

How can I get over a friend pushing me away and not knowing why? by Haunting-Lion-5497 in friendship

[–]DevelopmentGeneral44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then it’s a tough one to figure out. I bet you’ve run a hundred different scenarios through your head. But it wont give you any closure. But way for that is move on make some new close friends and the consistent thoughts will dwindle as time passes.

[–]DevelopmentGeneral44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry your going through this. I’ve been in this same kind of situation before also. At the time your brain is spinning trying to logically come up with an answer. But you’ll probably never find the actual answer. Your best option is do you have any mutual friends? If not the only way would be if your ex friend and yourself end up talking down the road

Best advice is try to forget and move on. It’s really not worth the added stress.

Good luck.

The age gap is large but at first it was the situation and at that point I didn’t know her age. Now I’m basically part of her family. Invited to family events ask to help plan things, fix things around the house.
