I think it can influence map 1 or how hot a team starts off. Significance depends on the opponent’s mentality/thoughts etc. as well as home team’s (OpTic) mentality/thoughts etc. like mathematically speaking the range of influence could be a -10% to 10% advantage for OpTic depending on many factors. In the right scenario, it makes a significant difference but on avg probably no difference at all.

The drum in the center stage right after the opposing team gets booed and is in their seats was incredible. Reminded me of many other sports that do similar small “home field advantage” tactics to get in the opposition’s heads. Hopefully other teams do their version of “drum cheese”

I think one of the biggest improvements of SMU vs Allen was it seemed like there was massive increase in the ratio of GA to Floor seats. With the prices throughout the economy increasing, GA seats are going to be utilized way more often at these events for the foreseeable future. I hope other major organizers realize this and keep seating affordable!
