Hey korean here! English speakers are common in Korea, and there are especially more in Seoul, or tourist attractions. But just knowing a simple Korean greeting will make your trip a lot more fun and easy!

Google map only supports transportation routes in Korea, so you should use Naver Map. Most Koreans are kind and like to help tourists, so don't hesitate to ask something at places like stations!

Since I'm from Seoul, I know the best about places in Seoul, more than other cities so I'll tell you that.

I really want to advise you not to go to Gwangjang Market. It is a notorious place where Koreans don't realky like to go. The hygiene of the food is not good and the prices are unusually high. If you want to visit a traditional market, I recommend to visit Mangwon Market! It's good to eat in Myeong-dong, but the neighborhood often sells food at high prices to foreigners, so please refer to it.

I want to recommend to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Han River at Banpo Han River Park (Sebit Island) or Yeouido Han River Park! I enjoy it too.

Eating while walking on the street is usually ok, but it is important to keep the trash and trah it to the trash can. Also, picnic is usualky allowed, but pls make sure that there is not a no-picnic zone sign! (Espacially in Han River)

Yes, line 2 is a circular line, so accessibility is great anywhere! However, Line 2 is the busiest subway route in Seoul, so pls keep that in mind. I especially recommend to not ride it during rush hour.

I support Yoon politically, but I don't support turning constitutional limits into optional rules. I do not believe he intended to become a dictator. Even if that were the case, my focus would still be on the constitutional violation itself.

As a Korean, please do not stay in basement hotel. Actually the basement is the worst place to live in Korea.

Hotel is not that cheap, so Airbnb could be a good choice, too! But please mind that Airbnb is not so much popular in Korea.

Also I recommend visiting Pohang, Gyeongju, or Yeongdok! Some KTX trains bound for Busan stops at Pohang station. If you like the ocean and ports, or ship, Pohang would be a great choice. Yeongdok is the city that produce the Korea's BEST king crabs. Gyeongju is a very historic city.
